    Abstract: A ball-hitting portion is integrally coated with an elastic body, and thus a bat with durability that can carry the ball far can be obtained. The baseball or softball bat includes a tip portion, a ball-hitting portion, a tapered portion and a grip portion. A depression in the ball-hitting portion is integrally coated with the elastic body having a high rebound property value as a physical property. Thus, when hitting the ball, the elastic body will be compressed and deform, and energy loss due to the ball deformation will be suppressed. Moreover, the ball is carried additionally with a restoring force of the elastic body. Consequently, the bat has rebound property superior to a conventional one, and can carry the ball farther.

    Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a highly characteristic image using an electrophotographic photoreceptor of which a charge-generating layer can be produced with a better coating property and which is highly sensitive and electrostatically highly stable in repeated use. The charge-generating layer of a function-separated type photoreceptor contains a n-type non-metallic phthalocyanine and a copolymer of vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate type. Particularly, the ratio of the .tau.-type non-metallic phthalocyanine to the copolymer of vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate type is fixed at 1/3-3/1 by weight. The thickness of the charge-generating layer is fixed at 0.1-0.6 .mu.m. As the copolymer of vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate type, copolymers of vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate-maleic acid, or vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate-vinyl alcohol are selected. Particularly, it is favorable to select those containing at least 10% by weight of the vinyl alcohol component. The charge-generating layer is formed with a liquid coating material using a ketone solvent as dispersant. The aforementioned photoreceptor is applied to an image-forming apparatus using an inversion development process.

    Abstract: According to the present invention, an enamine compound having a specific structure is used as an organic photoconductive material. This enamine compound is obtained based on asymmetrical secondary naphtylamine which is readily available at a lowest price, by introducing phenyl groups containing substituents, as constituents units of the enamine part and presents excellent compatibility with binder resins, will not present detrimental effects such as partial crystallization at film forming and have a high charge mobility. The compound is able to realize highly reliable electrophotographic photoreceptor and an image forming apparatus which present a high electrostatic potential, high sensitivity and high enough light response and are excellent in durability and will not degrade in these characteristics under a low-temperature environment or in a high-speed process and will not lower in these characteristics even due to exposure to light.
