Abstract: According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes touch-sensor electrodes, an array substrate including pixel electrodes, gate lines, source lines, switching elements, a light-shielding layer, and a plurality of stripe-like common electrodes, a counter-substrate, and a liquid crystal layer, wherein the common electrodes included in the array substrate are used not only as electrodes for display, but also as touch-sensor electrodes and, in a touch operation, a touch drive signal is input to each drive unit electrode including a plurality of common electrodes, and the light-shielding layer is divided into parts each of which corresponds to the drive unit electrode, and is provided to extend across a region opposed to a region of the drive unit electrode.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes plural display pixels arranged in a matrix, plural gate lines, plural source lies and a control circuit which controls by applying intermittent driving and a column-inversion drive scheme, an operation in which drive signals are supplied to the gate lines and the source lines, and an image signal is supplied to the display pixels and held thereby, wherein the display pixels each include a liquid crystal in which alignment of liquid crystal molecules is changed by a voltage between pixel electrodes and a common electrode, and the control circuit applies in a signal stop period in the intermittent driving, a voltage corresponding to a gradation higher than or equal to white gradation to the source lines in a case where a display mode of the liquid crystal is a normally-black mode.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, provided is a thin film transistor device with further improved area efficiency. First contact regions of a first semiconductor layer portion are formed with the first channel region therebetween in a predetermined direction and doped with an N-type impurity, one of the first contact regions electrically connected with a shared electrode, while the other electrically connected with a first electrode.
