Abstract: Systems and methods for insertion of contact profile images into messages are disclosed. The images can be received from a public profile of a social media website, or from locally stored content. The images may be selected based on a context, such as the recipient and/or sender address, or context of the message. The selected image is inserted into the message instead of, or in addition to the contact name. The recipient then receives a message that includes the inserted image.

The method may include generating the sentiment map user interface based on the determined plurality of user sentiment data and the collected plurality of content path data, whereby the generated sentiment map user interface includes a plurality of user icons indicating a user sentiment, and whereby the plurality of user icons are positioned within the generated sentiment map user interface based on the collected plurality of content path data. The method may include presenting the generated sentiment map user interface to a user.

Abstract: A mechanism is provided for intelligently integrating descriptions of images into surrounding text for a screen reader. A natural language understanding image description is determined for an image in a document. For each sentence of a set of sentences in the text of the document, a relatedness score between the sentence and the natural language understanding image description is determined thereby forming a set of relatedness scores. A highest relatedness score is determined from the set of relatedness scores. The natural language image description is inserted in close proximity to a sentence associated with the highest relatedness score, such that, when the text is read out by the screen reader, the natural language image description of the image is read out in close proximity to the sentence.

Abstract: A social network activity mode that is implemented using social network activity rules is identified. The social network activity rules allow only social network posts of relevance to a particular activity of a user to be presented to the user. The social network activity mode is applied to a group of social network posts. Based upon applying the social network activity mode to the group of social network posts, social network posts that comply with the social network activity rules of the social network activity mode are provided to the user and social network posts that do not comply with the social network activity rules of the social network activity mode are blocked.

Abstract: A method of determining contextual and cognitive metadata for shared photographs in which a sender's device takes a photographic image, and stores the image in a file along with metadata associated with the sender. The file, with the image and metadata, is sent to a recipient's device, which receives and stores the file. The recipient's device gathers information about the recipient, and converts the information into tags. The recipient's device performs binary regression the tags in the metadata about the sender and the metadata about the recipient, and derives a context value (iContext) for the metadata tags. The context values for the sender and recipient tags are compared to determine a disposition for the related sender and recipient tags. The recipient device modifies the metadata in the file in accordance with the disposition; and stores the file with the image and the modified metadata.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, a method for determining proper name spelling in a text message from a sender to a receiver is described. The method may include evaluating text from a sender to a receiver to identify a proper name, comparing the text against a repository containing one or more proper names, determining a confidence ranking related to the accuracy of spelling of the proper name using shared contacts between the sender and receiver, and outputting a specific spelling of the proper name based on a highest confidence ranking of the confidence ranking.
