The method also includes determining, by the first network element, first sequence information of a second data packet. The second data packet is a to-be-discarded data packet of the first service. The first sequence information indicates a sequence of the second data packet. The method further includes determining, by the first network element, a third data packet. The third data packet includes the first sequence information. The method additionally includes sending, by the first network element, the third data packet to a terminal device.

Abstract: This application provides methods and communication apparatus for transmitting a data packet of a media stream. The method can include an access network element receiving M data packets of a media stream from a user plane network element. When a network resource of the access network element cannot satisfy a transmission requirement of a terminal device, the access network element drops N data packets with lower priorities in the M data packets, where N≤M. The access network element sends, to the terminal device, a data packet that is not dropped and sequence numbers that represent sending sequences of the data packets and that are carried in the N data packets, and receives, from the terminal device, an ACK feedback for the sequence numbers carried in the N data packets. In the solutions discussed herein, video playback experience on a user side can be substantially ensured.

The method discloses: obtaining, by user equipment UE, session type information, where the session type information is used to indicate a type of a first session; and when a first application triggers a first service, determining, by the UE based on the session type information, whether a create session request needs to be initiated for the first service. According to the solutions provided in embodiments, before the create session request is initiated, the UE may determine whether to reuse a created session or create a new session. In this way, for a service that can reuse a created session, no new session needs to be created, thereby reducing signaling exchange between the UE and a network side.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a path determining method, apparatus, and system. In a hybrid network including one controller for implementing a control function, the controller may separately obtain network topology information of a first network and a second network of different network types by using a same control channel protocol. When the controller obtains a path determining requirement for the data transmission path, because the controller has the network topology information of the first network and the second network, during computation of the data transmission path, the controller can determine a path computation result including transmission path parts of the first network and the second network, without performing additional information exchange with another device, and send the path computation result to the first network device.
