    Abstract: This application discloses a resource configuration method and apparatus. The method includes: obtaining, by a terminal, a slice attribute corresponding to a slice type of a first session, where the slice attribute corresponding to the slice type includes at least one of a security requirement or a latency requirement of the slice type; and performing resource configuration for the first session based on the slice attribute. In this way, a security requirement and/or a latency requirement of network slices can be implemented on a terminal side.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for clock synchronization are provided. In one aspect, a clock synchronization method includes: receiving, by a terminal and from an access network device, information about N clock domains, determining, by the terminal, M clock domains that are associated with the terminal and that are in the N clock domains, and separately performing, by the terminal, clock synchronization with clock sources of the M clock domains based on information about the M clock domains. Information about a clock domain includes first time information and a clock domain number of the clock domain. The first time information includes a time of a clock source of the clock domain when the access network device sends the information about the clock domain. The clock domain number identifies the clock domain. N is an integer greater than 1, and M is an integer greater than 1.

    Abstract: A domain name system query method in which: a first network element receives a DNS query request including a first domain name from a terminal apparatus; the first network element sends first request information which comprises location information of the terminal apparatus and the first domain name to a second network element; the second network element determines, based on the first request information, an IP address and feeds back the IP address to the first network element; and the first network element sends the IP address to the terminal apparatus. When a terminal apparatus performs domain name query, a core network element determines an IP address of an application server based on location information of the terminal apparatus and a queried domain name. In this way, the terminal apparatus obtains an IP address of an application server close to the terminal apparatus, thereby improving service access efficiency of the terminal apparatus.

The method includes: A session management network element receives a session request from a mobility management network element. The session request includes information about a network slice and a DNN, and the session request is used to request to create a session. The session management network element determines clock source information corresponding to both the information about the network slice and the DNN. The session management network element sends the clock source information to an access network device. The clock source information is used by the access network device to perform clock synchronization with a terminal device.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an AMBR control method, device, and system, so that a quality of service (QoS) control mechanism can be used to control use of resources in a network slice by a terminal device. The method includes: a mobility management network element obtaining M pieces of single network slice selection assistance information (S-NSSAI) corresponding to a terminal device and a first slice-AMBR corresponding to each piece of S-NSSAI in the M pieces of S-NSSAI; and sending the M pieces of S-NSSAI and the first slice-AMBR corresponding to each piece of S-NSSAI to an access network device, where the first slice-AMBR corresponding to each piece of S-NSSAI is used to determine a second slice-AMBR corresponding to the S-NSSAI, and the second slice-AMBR corresponding to each piece of S-NSSAI is used to control an aggregate bit rate of non-guaranteed bit rate non-GBR QoS flows in a network slice indicated by the S-NSSAI.

In one example method, a user plane network element obtains a first QoS notification, where the first QoS notification includes first QoS information used to indicate QoS of a target service. The user plane network element sends first indication information to an application network element to which a QoS notification needs to be reported, where the first indication information is used to indicate a second QoS notification, the second QoS notification includes second QoS information of the target service, and the first QoS notification is the same as the second QoS notification, or the second QoS notification is determined based on the first QoS notification.
