    摘要: A simple “go or no go” ignition coil tester identifies coils that have failed or that are about to fail by driving a coil with sufficient voltage and amperage to operate at its peak output. Coils that have failed or that are close to failure cannot operate at peak output and thus fail the test. A standard kilovolt tester is used to simulate a spark plug and an audio indication of sparking produced by the kilovolt tester is used to confirm operation or failure of the coil. The system dispenses with short circuit and closed circuit test apparatus as well as the structures and failings associated with visual spark indicators.

A method includes providing a molding form base having a molding surface, providing an outer molding frame on the molding form base, and providing at least one inner molding member disposed across and dividing the molding surface into a first molding section and a second molding section. The inner molding member has a first molding surface and a second molding surface located adjacent to and facing the first and second molding sections, respectively, the inner molding member having a protrusion located along the length of the first molding surface. A first molded section of the furnace cover is cast between the outer molding frame and the first molding surface of the inner molding member, the inner molding member is removed, and a second molded section of the furnace cover is cast between the outer molding frame and the first molded section of the furnace cover. A refractory furnace cover includes a first molded section having an edge with a slot located thereon, and a second molded section formed against the previously cast first molded section and having an interlocking key formed in the slot of the first section.

The method, in at least one embodiment, includes calculating the order numbers of the relevant voxels in one pass, and storing these in a cohesive memory area. This makes it possible to prevent constriction of the pipeline of a processor which may be used to carry out the method, and to dispense with the time-consuming instructions for transmission of data between registers of different size.

    摘要: This invention describes an optimization and view dependency reduction method for multiplanar reformatting (MPR) of slice-based volume images. This method utilizes a traversal scheme that allows for efficient access of the computer memory layout of a sliced based volume, and therefore optimizes overall processing time. This method does not require changes to the volume memory layout or additional volume memory. Instead, efficient memory access is achieved by adaptive traversal patterns on the reformatting planes. The traversal pattern is adapted on-the-fly during rendering as the reformatting plane location and orientation is changed arbitrarily relative to the volume. In this way, the typical speed differences between various reformatting planes orientations caused by inefficient memory access is greatly reduced. Computer cache coherency, SIMD coherent implementation, and multiprocessing environments are also considered in the design of the traversal pattern.

    摘要: An implanted microphone is provided that has reduced sensitivity to vibration and attendant acceleration forces. In this regard, the microphone differentiates between the desirable and undesirable components of a transcutaneously received signal. More specifically, the present invention utilizes an output that is indicative of acceleration forces acting on the implanted microphone (e.g., an acceleration signal) to counteract and/or cancel the effects of acceleration induced pressures in an output signal of a microphone diaphragm. This may be done in a variety of ways, including but not limited to, pneumatically, mechanically, electrical analog, or digitally, or combinations thereof. In one arrangement, the generated output may be filtered to match the an acceleration response of the output signal of the microphone diaphragm such that upon removal of the motion signal from the microphone output, the remaining signal is an acoustic signal.

    摘要: A compact inline unitized plug/receptacle adapter interconnects a four blade plug configuration with a three slot receptacle thereby allowing a boat or RV user to readily adapt to an available receptacle at mooring or camping sites while retaining the ability to utilize the electrical equipment therein. The adapter includes a cover assembly carrying on the outer end the three blades for connection with a host receptacle and carrying on the inner end the four terminals for connection with the guest plug. The live or hot terminals are interconnected by a jumper bus mounted at a raised pad on the cover and electrically connected with the live blade. The neutral and ground terminals are separately connected with their respective blades and mounted at pads of differing elevation on the cover thereby providing differing base elevations and a first degree of physical and electrical insulation between the hot and neutral/ground paths. The adapter includes a housing having a cavity provided with walled surfaces forming separate insulating pockets for aligning the individual terminals with slots for accepting the four blade guest plug. The pockets physically and electrically laterally separate the terminals to provide a second degree of physical and electrical insulation between the terminals.
