    摘要: Simple passage structure of a lock-up torque converter is disclosed. A first spacer is mounted within an annular space between an output shaft and a stationary sleeve to divide the annular space into a first annular chamber communicating with the inside of a turbine runner and into a second annular chamber communicating with a clutch chamber. The first spacer is formed with a first cutout mating with a radially extending drain passage formed within a pump cover and a second cutout mating with a radially extending passage formed within the pump cover and communicating with the control valve. The first cutout is open to the first annular chamber so that communication between the first annular chamber and the radial drain passage of the pump cover is provided. The second cutout is open to the second annular chamber so that communication between the second annular chamber and the other radial passage of the pump cover is provided.

    摘要: A transmission throttle valve for use in a hydraulic control system of an automatic power transmission, comprising a valve spool contributing to the development of a throttle pressure, a valve plunger arranged in series with the valve spool and engaged by the accelerator pedal through a mechanical linkage for being movable toward and away from the valve spool as the accelerator pedal is moved toward and away from the released position thereof, a spring urging the valve spool and the valve plunger away from each other and a spring included in the mechanical linkage for urging the valve plunger to move in a direction opposite to the direction in which the valve plunger is to be moved when the accelerator pedal is depressed, wherein the valve plunger is formed with a pressure acting area for urging the valve plunger to move against the forces of the springs so that the vehicle driver is saved from an effort to overcome the force of the spring acting on the valve spool and plunger when in depressing the accelerator pedal.

    摘要: A laminar clay having ion-exchange property is mixed with a solution containing polynuclear metal hydroxo cations or positively charged hydroxide or oxide fine particles to serve as precursor ions (3) of inorganic pillars so as to exchange a part of cations (2) between clay layers (1) with the precursor ions (3) of the inorganic pillars. Next, the laminar clay thus obtained is heat-treated at 100.degree. to 900.degree. C. to generate a porous clay intercalation compound, this porous clay intercalation compound is mixed with an ammonium salt aqueous solution to ion-exchange remaining cations (2) with ammonium ions (5). This porous clay intercalation compound is heat treated again at 200.degree. to 900.degree. C. to desorb ammonia, so as to allow hydrogen ions (6) to be carried in the pore portions of the porous clay intercalation compound and on its surface portions. The porous clay intercalation compound thus obtained has both a shape selectivity function owing to its uniform pore structure and high catalytic activity owing to the hydrogen ions (6).

    摘要: A change-speed transmission comprises: an input member; an output member; a hydrokinetic unit having a pump connected to the input member for simultaneous rotation therewith and a turbine; first and second clutches; a divider in the form of a planetary gear set; and a planetary gear train. The divider has a first, a second and a third rotary element, while, the planetary gear train also has a first, a second and a third rotary element. The first rotary element of the divider is connected to the first rotary element of the gear train for simultaneous rotation therewith, and the second rotary elements are connected to each other through the second clutch. The second or third rotary elements are connectable through a first or a torque split clutch to the input member. The turbine of the hydrokinetic unit is connectable to the other one of said second and third rotary elements. The output member is connected to the third rotary element of the gear train or divider. If the turbine is connected to one of the second or third rotary elements of the divider, the input member is connectable through the first clutch to the other one of said elements of the divider, and the output member is connected to the third rotary element of the gear train. If the output member is connected to the third rotary element of the divider, the turbine is connected to the third rotary element of the gear train; while, the input member is connectable through the first clutch to the second rotary element of the divider.

    摘要: A manual valve comprises a spool having two lands slidably disposed in a bore of a housing for movement to a P range, a R range, a N range, a D range, a II range and a I range. The manual valve is formed with an inlet port and five outlet ports. The first and second outlet ports are allowed to communicate with the inlet port to receive a line pressure when the spool is set to R range. The second outlet port is allowed to communicate with said inlet port when the spool is set to N range. The second and third outlet ports are allowed to communicate with said inlet port when the spool is set to D range. The third and fourth outlet ports are allowed to communicate with the inlet port when the spool is set to II range. The third, fourth and fifth outlet ports are allowed to communicate with the inlet port when the spool is set to I range.
