    摘要: This invention relates to a proposal of an uplink resource assignment format and a downlink resource assignment format. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of the new uplink/downlink resource assignments in methods for (de) activation of downlink component carrier (s) configured for a base station and a mobile terminal. To enable efficient and robust (de) activation of component carriers, while minimizing the signaling overhead, the invention proposes a new uplink/downlink resource assignment format that allow the activation/deactivation of individual downlink component carriers configured for a mobile. The new uplink or downlink resource assignment comprises an indication of the activation state of the configured downlink component carriers, i.e. indicate which downlink component carrier (s) is/are to be activated or deactivated. This indication is for example implemented by means of a bit-mask that indicates which of the configured uplink component carriers are to be activated respectively deactivated.

    摘要: A wireless relay device and a wireless relay method are provided which can improve the utilization efficiency of resources. In the wireless relay device for relaying a signal between a base station and a mobile station, if a transmission section transmits an SRS in a subframe immediately previous to the backhaul subframe, an SRS setting section sets a last symbol of an access link subframe as a fake symbol in which the SRS that the mobile station transmits to the wireless relay device is not configured. A reception section receives the signal transmitted from the mobile station to the wireless relay device in a previous symbol of one of the fake symbol, and then a switching section switches to transmission from the wireless relay device to the base station. If the transmission section does not transmit the SRS in the backhaul subframe immediately previous to the backhaul subframe, the reception section receives the signal transmitted from the mobile station to the wireless relay device in the last symbol of the access link subframe, and then the switching section switches to transmission from the wireless relay device to the base station.

    摘要: A method is provided which improves reliability of channel estimation in a digital communication system by reducing the ambiguity in the recognition of received symbols evaluated for the channel estimation. A first plurality of bits is mapped to a modulation state according to a given Gray mapping of binary numbers to modulation states and transmitted. The plurality of bits is re-transmitted at least once, with a sub-set of bits contained in the plurality of bits inverted, and mapped to further modulation states according to the same Gray mapping. The bits to be inverted are determined in a way that the number of different vector sum results obtainable, for all combinations of bit values within the first plurality of bits, by adding vectors representing complex values of the first and further modulation states in a complex plane, is lower than the number of different modulation states within the Gray mapping.

    摘要: The invention relates to the definition of a structure of a sub-frame for transmission from a Node B to at least one relay node in a communication system. Furthermore, the invention is also related to the operation of Node B and relay node regarding the generation, transmission and reception of such special sub-frame format. The invention is inter alia applicable to a 3GPP LTE-A system as standardized by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). The invention suggests a new structure for a sub-frame that is capable of conveying control information and/or data for a relay node to the relay node essentially independent from propagation delays. The structure of the sub-frame takes into account propagation delays of the radio signal from Node B to relay node, in that control information and/or data for a relay node is transmitted from the Node B on OFDM symbols that can be expected to be received by the relay node.
