摘要: A network, a particularly on board of an aircraft, such as a cabin network or a cargo bay network, comprises at least one central signaling backbone, a plurality of distributed sensor nodes connected to the central signaling backbone, and a plurality of network devices connected to the central signaling backbone. Each of the plurality of distributed sensor nodes includes one or more sensors configured to gather sensor measurement values and to route the gathered sensor measurement values over the central signaling backbone. Each of the plurality of network devices is configured to send a sensor control signal to one or more of the plurality of distributed sensor nodes, the sensor control signal triggering the receiving sensor node to send selected sensor measurement values over the central signaling backbone to the sending network devices based on the content of the sent sensor control signal.

摘要: A water supply system for a plurality of water consumer units in an aircraft. The system includes a main tank configured to store a main supply of water, a main water pipe connected to an outlet of the main tank, and a plurality of water networks, each configured to conduct water from the main tank to at least one of the plurality of water consumer units. The plurality of water consumer units is partitioned in a first group of water consumer units and at least a second group of water consumer units. Each of the plurality of water networks includes a conveying device configured to convey water to each water consumer unit of one of the groups. The water supply system further includes a cross-feed valve configured to fluidically connect or separate the plurality of water networks downstream of the conveying devices in the plurality of water networks.

摘要: A movable cargo support for an aircraft cargo hold or passenger cabin includes a base member with its bottom surface having one or more support sections to support the base member on a floor surface. The base member includes wheel assemblies having a wheel member rotatable about a rotation axis and movably mounted on the base member to pivot about a steering axis of the wheel assembly and which can be altered between an extended position where the wheel member protrudes beyond the support plane and a retracted position where the wheel member does not extend beyond the support plane. Each wheel assembly has a biasing member biasing the wheel member towards the extended position and configured so the biasing force exceeds the force by X % at most which forces the wheel member towards the retracted position when the wheel members are on a floor surface and one or more cargo elements are on the support surface having the maximum allowable weight of the one or more cargo elements for the cargo support.

摘要: A system for scanning or inspecting an aircraft or spacecraft surface. A ground vehicle has a first inspection device, a hovering platform has a second inspection device. The first inspection device is on a first arm of the ground vehicle. The ground vehicle comprises a vertical pole and a transverse holding element extends therefrom. The hovering platform is electrically connected to the ground vehicle through a cable for transferring electrical power and/or data to the hovering platform. The vertical pole and/or transverse holding element carry the cable. The hovering platform is flexibly held on the vertical pole and/or the transverse holding element through the cable or an additional component. The inspection devices determine a characteristic of the surface and identify points of shape deviation by comparison with an intended characteristic. The system successively inspects the surface through the inspection devices being arranged in different heights at the same time.

摘要: A time-delay latch for securing a structure in a specified position includes a housing, a fluid chamber contained within the housing for holding fluid, a pin that extends through the fluid chamber and is axially movable within and through the fluid chamber, and a release frame movably secured within the housing. When the pin is in a latched position, the release frame engages with the pin to prevent axial movement of the pin. When the pin is in an unlatched position, the release frame disengages from the pin to allow axial movement of the pin. The axial movement of the pin between the latched position and the unlatched position requires a prescribed duration of time to elapse. During operation, the axial movement of the pin between the unlatched position and the latched position can occur faster than the prescribed duration of time.
