A plurality of tabs is associated with the conductor rail, the tabs extending outward in a comb-like manner in a shared plane perpendicular to the lengthwise direction of the housing. The plurality of tabs is arranged next to each other in a sequence having a row distance that corresponds to a first grid distance of the connector holders of the switching device. At least one end, relative to the lengthwise extending, of the cross connection link has incoming contact openings leading to the conductor rail.

The discriminator circuit includes an output for controlling the motor; a voltage-limiting component having a breakdown voltage; a resistor; and a switching unit configured to, in the first state, switch the control signal to the first level, and, in the second state, switch the control signal to the second level, the switching unit being configured to be switched by a voltage drop across the resistor.

The lever includes a display element and is movable between a triggered position and a non-triggered position based upon at least one operational parameter. The coupling element is operatively connected to the lever so as to be movable between a triggered, position and a non-triggered position by the lever. The coupling element is configured to be further operatively connected to a first actuator of the energy store so as to be movable by the first actuator into the non-triggered position when energy is stored in the first energy store and so as to not be moved from the non-triggered position into the triggered position when energy stored in the energy store is released.

The power switch is configured to be activated via an overcurrent signal generated by an arc monitoring system in response to the accidental arc overcurrent. The overcurrent signal is linked to the at least one triggering signal. The second evaluation has a threshold above a threshold of the first evaluation device. The triggering device is configured to be activated via a turn-off pulse when a signal from the current detection device is above the threshold of the second evaluation device.

The control module and the communication module are connectable mechanically and electrically to the switching device base module. The first mechanical guide elements of the switching device base module are configured to slidably receive the first mechanical elements of the control module and the second mechanical elements of the communication module in a plugging sequence wherein an electric contacting between the communication module and the control module is only established when, in the plugging sequence, the second mechanical elements of the communication module are connected to the first mechanical guide elements of the switching device base module before the first mechanical elements of the control module are connected to the first mechanical guide elements of the switching device base module.
