    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine a first physical layer cell identifier (PCI) corresponding to a serving cell configured for the UE and a second PCI corresponding to a second cell configured for the UE different than the serving cell. Subsequently, the UE may receive at least one synchronization signal block (SSB) associated with the first PCI or the second PCI, where the SSB overlaps in time with one or more downlink channels. Accordingly, the UE may determine a quasi co-location (QCL) relationship between the SSB and the one or more downlink channels based on which PCI is associated with the SSB. In some examples, the UE may determine the QCL relationship based on a capability of the UE to receive one or two beams simultaneously.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless communication systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling from a base station based on an uplink beam failure. The control signaling may indicate one or more uplink beams for uplink communications, and the one or more uplink beams may be decoupled from a downlink beam for downlink communications by the UE. The UE may transmit a feedback message acknowledging the one or more uplink beams for the uplink communications based on receiving the control signaling. The UE may switch from one or more current uplink beams to the one or more uplink beams indicated via the control signaling during a time period after receiving the control signaling. The UE may transmit the uplink communications using the one or more uplink beams based on the feedback message.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for wireless communications and more specifically for handling hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes with discontinuous reception (DRX) operations. In some implementations, a user equipment (UE) may use a timer to maintain an ON duration in a DRX cycle based on receiving a downlink control information (DCI) message with a data-to-feedback timing indicator (for example, a K1 value) indicating a non-numeric value for a data message. For example, the UE may receive a DCI message with feedback timing for the data message based on maintaining the ON duration. In some other implementations, a UE may use a timer to maintain an ON duration following a feedback opportunity to support dynamic group-based HARQ messaging. For example, the UE may receive a DCI message requesting a retransmission of feedback information based on maintaining the ON duration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive multiple downlink control information (DCI) messages from a base station, where each of the multiple DCI messages schedules a respective downlink transmission. Some of the DCI messages may be multiplexed with downlink transmissions. The UE may identify, for each downlink transmission multiplexed with one of the multiple DCI messages, a time period including a beginning of the downlink transmission, and the UE may determine an order of the multiple DCI messages based on the time period. The UE may transmit a feedback message to the base station for the respective downlink transmissions based on the determined order. The UE may transmit the feedback message to the base station on uplink resources indicated by a last DCI message in the determined order.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication that a first common search space set and a second common search space set are linked for repetition of a downlink control channel that includes downlink control information associated with a random access procedure, scheduling of system information, or a paging procedure. The UE may monitor the first common search space set and the second common search space set for the downlink control information based at least in part on the indication. The UE may decode the downlink control information using at least one of a first physical downlink control channel candidate of the first common search space set or a second physical downlink control channel candidate of the second common search space set, where the first physical downlink control channel candidate is linked with the second physical downlink control channel candidate.
