    Abstract: A master node associated with a primary or master network may facilitate user equipment (UE) random access channel (RACH) procedures to secondary networks for dual connectivity. A master node may identify a connected UE is to perform a RACH procedure for connection with a secondary network (e.g., to the same network as the primary network via a secondary node). The master node may then identify a transmit beam for the secondary node to use for reference signal repetitions based on a beam report received from the UE. The master node may transmit an indication of the repetition, which may include a number of repetitions and/or a transmit beam to be used for the reference signals of the RACH procedure. The UE may perform a receive beam sweep procedure while the secondary node transmits the reference signal repetitions on the transmit beam to identify a preferred receive beam.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit a configuration indicating a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state switching pattern and a TCI state switching period to a user equipment (UE). The UE may perform TCI state switching according to the TCI state switching pattern and period, and the UE may receive a downlink transmission according to the TCI state switching pattern. The UE may receive a downlink control information (DCI) including an indication of a TCI state for a subsequent TTI. The UE may receive the downlink signal in accordance with both the TCI state switching pattern and the indication in the DCI. The UE may receive a configuration message indicating a first DCI state, receive a DCI indicating a second TCI state for a subsequent TTI, switch to the second TCI state, and receive a downlink signal using the second TCI state.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine that the UE has data to transmit. The user equipment may transmit, to a base station (BS) and based at least in part on determining that the UE has the data to transmit, a plurality of communications on a plurality of uplink beams to trigger the BS to perform beam measurements for the uplink beams. The user equipment may receive information that identifies a subset of the plurality of uplink beams to be used for an uplink data transmission based at least in part on transmitting the communications. The user equipment may transmit the uplink data transmission on the subset of the uplink beams based at least in part on receiving the information that identifies the subset of the uplink beams.     Abstract: Improved methods, systems, devices, or apparatus that support prioritization for potential shared data transmissions are described. In some cases, a receiving device may identify transmission parameters for shared transmissions including a scheduled shared transmission and determine resources for a potential shared transmission. The receiving device may monitor for the shared transmission(s) based on priority rules for a shared transmission and the potential shared transmission. For instance, the receiving device may be configured to receive only one of the scheduled or potential shared transmission. In some cases, the transmitting device may consider the priority rules and determine whether to transmit or drop one or more shared transmissions.

A base station may transmit, and a user equipment (UE) may receive, a downlink control signal indicating that an uplink control signal is to be transmitted using two or more transmission beams during different transmission time intervals (TTIs). Each repetition may be transmitted on a different TTI using a different one of the two or more transmission beams based at least in part on the downlink control signal.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for multiple random access channel (RACH) message 1 (Msg1) transmission for physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) ordered RACH are described. A user equipment (UE) may perform the multiple Msg1 transmission as part of a CFRA or CBRA procedure for access. The UE may perform the multiple Msg1 transmissions in a cyclic consecutive manner during configured RACH occasions or according to explicit time and frequency indications of a random access response (RAR) window. Based on the multiple Msg1 transmission procedure, the UE may reduce latency for random access procedure on the RACH and improve signaling throughput. In some cases, the UE may support beam correspondence and may perform multiple Msg1 transmissions to enhance multi-beam diversity during RACH transmission by performing transmission corresponding to RACH occasions mapped to different synchronization signal blocks (SSBs).
