    Abstract: A network access node including a transceiver coupled to a sidelink receiver user equipment (UE) (or to a sidelink transmitter UE) is disclosed. The network access node may obtain a network access interface discontinuous reception (DRX) slot offset value (or a sidelink interface DRX slot offset value) corresponding to a shift in a network access interface DRX Active state start time (or a sidelink interface DRX Active state start time) of the receiver UE. The shift may configure an alignment of a sidelink interface DRX Active state start time (or the network access interface DRX Active state start time) with the network access interface DRX Active state start time (or the sidelink interface DRX Active state start time). The network access interface DRX (or sidelink interface DRX) slot offset value may be transmitted to the receiver UE.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, the described techniques provide for configuring sidelink beam failure detection reference signals for determining beam failures on a sidelink between a first sidelink user equipment (UE) and a second sidelink UE. The first UE may determine a first set of sidelink beam failure detection reference signals to transmit to the second UE and a second set of sidelink beam failure detection reference signals to receive from the second UE. The first UE may transmit the first set to the second UE using a set of sidelink transmit beams. The first UE may further monitor for the determined second set using a set of sidelink receive beams. Based on the first and second set of sidelink beam failure detection reference signals, the first and second UE may communicate over the sidelink.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for air interface and sidelink discontinuous reception alignment for inactive/idle user equipment. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a network at a first user equipment over an air interface, discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration assistance information, and transmitting, from the first user equipment to a second user equipment via a sidelink interface, the DRX configuration assistance information. The method may further include receiving, from the second user equipment at the first user equipment via the sidelink interface, sidelink DRX configuration information, wherein the sidelink DRX configuration information is based on the DRX configuration assistance information, and transmitting, from the first user equipment to the network over the air interface, the sidelink DRX configuration information. The method may include receiving, from the network at the first user equipment, modified air interface DRX configuration information for the first user equipment.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for a user equipment (UE) receiving a configuration for a plurality of dormancy modes for a secondary cell group (SCG) dormancy state. The UE may receive the configuration and determine to transition to a SCG dormancy mode based on the configuration. The UE may enter the dormancy mode and communicate with a master cell group (MCG), the SCG, or both based on the configuration for the dormancy mode. The UE may perform radio resource management, radio link management, and beam failure detection procedures while in SCG dormancy mode. The UE may also perform layer 1 measurements and reporting, timing configuration procedures, power control procedures, and the like depending on the dormancy mode.
