Abstract: This application sets forth techniques for cellular wireless network characterization and selection based on wireless device usage, including selection of a public land mobile network (PLMN) and/or a subscriber identity module (SIM) best matched to PLMN characterized performance scores and/or habitual device usage of a wireless device. Network performance scores for multiple PLMNs based on crowd-sourced information are downloaded to a wireless device. The wireless device determines a best match between characterized network performance scores to habitual device usage characterization of the wireless device. A best matched roaming PLMN can be determined for a single SIM wireless device. A best matched SIM paired with a best matched PLMN can be chosen as a primary SIM to optimize roaming performance of a multiple SIM wireless device. Additionally, a SIM, associated with a best matched PLMN, can be recommended for installation to a multiple SIM capable wireless device.

Abstract: A communications system may include user equipment (UE) that transmits data to a recipient via a network. The UE may receive user input and may generate the data based on the input. When a terrestrial network is unavailable to the UE, the UE may transmit segments of the data over a satellite constellation as the UE continues to receive input and while connectivity to the constellation exceeds a threshold. If a portion of the input includes an edit to a previous segment, the UE may include an edit flag in the corresponding segment. Once input has finished, the UE may sign the segments and may transmit a signature over the constellation. The network may store the segments as received from the constellation, may replace edited segments with more recent segments containing edit flags, and may compile and transmit all of the segments to the recipient upon receipt of the signature.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a primary camera sensor configured to capture images having a first resolution, a primary processing circuit configured to process images captured by the primary camera sensor, a secondary camera sensor configured to capture images having a second resolution, and a secondary processing circuit configured to process images captured by the secondary camera sensor. In response to a determination that a particular object of interest is included in a particular image, the secondary processing circuit may be further configured to cause the primary processing circuit and the primary camera sensor to exit a reduced power mode. The primary camera sensor may be further configured, in response to the exiting, to capture a different image. The primary processing circuit may also be configured to process the different image to validate the particular object of interest.

Abstract: An electronic device may include wireless circuitry having an on-chip transformer. The transformer may convey a radio-frequency signal and may include a primary coil and a secondary coil. The primary coil may have a center tap. A distributed capacitor array (DCA) may be coupled to the primary coil around the center tap. The DCA may include switchable capacitors coupled in parallel between ground and points on the primary coil on either side of the center tap. When active, each switchable capacitor contributes a different weighting to the operation of the transformer based on its distance from the center tap. A set of one or more of the switchable capacitors may be activated to contribute an asymmetric weighting to the operation of the transformer that mitigates process-related asymmetry in the transformer. This may serve to mitigate undesired common mode to direct mode signal conversion by the transformer.

Determining the position of the first body portion is based on a distance between the device and the fixed spatial point and based on a distance between the device and the first body portion. The method includes generating, based on the position of the first body portion, pose information for the first body portion relative to the fixed spatial point.
