Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may perform an access procedure to obtain access to a shared radio frequency spectrum band during a measurement window and generate a synchronization signal (SS) burst comprising a plurality of SS blocks. The base station may perform a beam sweeping first transmission of the SS burst over the shared radio frequency spectrum based at least in part on the access procedure. In the first transmission or a second transmission, the base station may transmit at least one of a first indication of a time of access to the shared radio frequency spectrum band with respect to the measurement window, a second indication of a transmission beam associated with the SS block, and a third indication of a quantity of remaining SS blocks from the plurality of SS blocks to follow the SS block in the measurement window.

Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to communicating using dynamic uplink and downlink transmission time interval (TTI) switching in a wireless network. A notification can be received from a network entity of switching a configurable TTI from downlink communications to uplink communications. The configurable TTI can be one of a plurality of TTIs in a frame structure that allows dynamic switching of configurable TTIs between downlink and uplink communications within a frame. Additionally, uplink communications can be transmitted to the network entity during the configurable TTI based at least in part on the notification.

Abstract: An apparatus may receive signaling from a base station that indicates different tone indices. The apparatus may further transmit a plurality of symbols in a single tone uplink transmission. In an aspect, groups of symbols in the plurality of symbols are transmitted using the different tone indices of the single tone uplink transmission indicated by the received signaling. A second apparatus may signal to at least one user equipment (UE) information associated with different tone indices for use in transmitting a plurality of symbols in a single tone uplink transmission. The second apparatus may further receive the plurality of symbols in the single tone uplink transmission. In an aspect, pairs of symbols in the plurality of symbols are received in different tone indices of the single tone uplink transmission.

This may include using scheduling information for second-served UEs to suppress serving cell signals intended for second-served UEs having overlapping MIMO transmissions. Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. A first method includes generating uplink control information at a wireless device, and transmitting the uplink control information over an interlace of a component carrier of an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band. The interlace includes a plurality of non-contiguous concurrent resource blocks in the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band, and at least two resource blocks in the interlace include different portions of the uplink control information. A second method includes generating uplink control information at a wireless device, and transmitting the uplink control information over an uplink control channel of an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band. Resources of the uplink control channel are divided into a plurality of discrete dimensions and the uplink control information of the wireless device is transmitted over a number of the discrete dimensions allocated to the uplink control information of the wireless device.

Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. A first method includes receiving a primary synchronization signal (PSS) from a base station over an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band. The PSS may be received on adjacent orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols of a first subframe of a downlink transmission. A user equipment (UE) may be synchronized with the base station based at least in part on the received PSS. A second method includes receiving a channel usage indicator over an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band, and determining at least one OFDM symbol to monitor based on a time associated with the received channel usage indicator. A PSS may then be received from a base station over the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band during the determined at least one OFDM symbol, and a UE may be synchronized with the base station based at least in part on the received PSS.

Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. A first method may include receiving at a user equipment (UE) over an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band an indication of a time window associated with a transmission of a synchronization signal, and monitoring the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band during the time window to receive a synchronization signal from a base station. A second method may include transmitting an indication of a time window associated with a transmission of a synchronization signal; performing a plurality of clear channel assessments (CCAs) on an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band during the time window; and transmitting the synchronization signal over the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band at a transmission time during the time window. The transmission time may be based at least in part on a result of at least one of the CCAs.
