    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device may receive situational information for a second wireless device over a first communication link between the first wireless device and the second wireless device and situational information for a third wireless device over a second communication link between the first wireless device and the third wireless device. The first wireless device may transmit message with guidance information to the second wireless device on behalf of the third wireless device and based on the second wireless device and the third wireless device having an event likelihood above a threshold. The event likelihood may be based on the situational information for the second wireless device and the situational information for the third wireless device.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Examples may include a receiving wireless device located in a first geographic zone receiving multiple signals from one or more transmitting wireless devices. The receiving wireless device may determine based on the received signals that the one or more transmitting devices are located in a second geographic zone. The receiving wireless device may determine configured transmit power information for each of the signals received from the transmitting wireless devices located in the second geographic zone. The receiving wireless device may estimate a path loss of wireless communications between the first geographic zone and the second geographic zone based on the configured transmit powers received in the signals. The receiving wireless device may communicate within the second geographic location based on the estimated path loss between the first geographic region and the second geographic region.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure are generally directed to an apparatus for wireless communication. The apparatus generally includes a processing system configured to determine a size of a transport block for a data channel based on a quantity of available resource elements of an allocation of resources for the transport block, the resources being allocated for transmission of data encoded in a plurality of slots of the data channel using slot aggregation, wherein the allocated resources in the plurality of slots have different quantities of available resource elements for the data, and generate the data channel in accordance with the determined size of the transport block, and an interface configured output the data channel for transmission.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may receive, from a second UE, a first control signal indicating a range value corresponding to a threshold distance for triggering feedback reporting from the first UE for transmissions from the second UE. The first UE may calculate a traversable distance corresponding to a traversable route between the first UE and the second UE, determine, based on the calculated traversable distance and the range value, whether the first UE is within the threshold distance for triggering feedback reporting, and perform, based on whether the first UE is within the threshold distance, a feedback procedure for the feedback reporting. The first UE may receive, from the second UE, a second control signal indicating a type of distance measurement corresponding to the threshold distance for triggering feedback reporting.

    Abstract: An apparatus may comprise a component for communicating using a first RAT and another component for communicating using a second RAT. Overlapping communication using the two RATs may cause problems for proper reception at the apparatus. The apparatus may detect that transmission or reception of a first packet using a first RAT will overlap in time with reception of a second packet using a second RAT. The apparatus prioritizes the first packet or the second packet based at least on a relative priority of the first packet and the second packet.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a message indicating that a base station supports allocating resources for sidelink communications using a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT that is different from the first RAT. The UE may transmit a sidelink information message to the base station using the first RAT that indicates that sidelink communications are to be performed using either the second RAT or both the first RAT and the second RAT. The UE may receive a configuration message from the base station that comprises an identifier for the sidelink communications and an indication of available sidelink resources. The UE may transmit, based at least in part on the configuration message, a request for resources within the available sidelink resources, the request indicating the identifier and a buffer status report (BSR).

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE), e.g., such as a pedestrian UE (PUE), may detect, during a first transmission period of a discontinuous transmission cycle, a transmission over a sidelink channel from a second UE that is located within a threshold distance from the first UE, the first UE associated with a first identifier. The first UE may determine, based at least in part on the transmission, a second identifier associated with the second UE, the second identifier being different from the first identifier. The first UE may use, based at least in part on the second UE being within the threshold distance, the first identifier and the second identifier during one or more subsequent transmission periods of the discontinuous transmission cycle.
