Abstract: A UE configured to report resources, such as beams, to a base station may be unaware of the context or purpose for which the UE is reporting such resources. As different resources may provide different performance and/or quality when used in different contexts, the resources reported by the UE may provide lower quality and/or performance in one context relative to some other unreported resources. In order to improve resource reporting by the UE, the UE may be informed of an operational mode and/or a criteria based upon which the UE may select resources to report. The UE may report such selected resources to the base station in a group-based beam report. The base station may then configure communication with the UE based on the reported resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for using different configurations for downlink or uplink transmissions associated with different transmission configuration indication (TCI) states (e.g., transmitted on different beams). In one example, a base station may use different configurations for downlink transmissions to a user equipment (UE), and the base station may indicate the different configurations to the UE. For instance, the base station may transmit downlink control information (DCI) indicating a baseline configuration and other configurations as a delta of the baseline configuration. In another example, a base station may dynamically indicate a timing advance to a UE (e.g., in DCI or flow control feedback) for an uplink transmission from the UE associated with a TCI state, and the UE may use the dynamically indicated timing advance for uplink transmissions associated with the TCI state.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may support both unicast and multicast downlink signaling, such as on a single component carrier (CC). A UE may receive a unicast message over a first CC during a transmission time interval (TTI) using a first set of processing resources. The UE may simultaneously receive a multicast message over the first CC during the same TTI using a second set of processing resources. The first and second sets of processing resources may be associated with first and second hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) soft buffers, first and second CCs, or first and second transmit/receive points (TRPs).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, downlink control information (DCI) that activates periodic channel state information (CSI) reporting via uplink shared channel transmissions (e.g., via physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions). The UE may then identify a trigger condition that triggers a transmission of both a first instance of a CSI report and a second instance of the CSI report within a period of the periodic CSI reporting. Based on the satisfaction of the trigger condition, the UE may transmit the first instance of the CSI report via a first uplink shared channel transmission and the second instance of the CSI report via a second uplink shared channel transmission, where both uplink channel transmissions are within the period of the periodic CSI reporting.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may establish a connection, with base station, over a first and second component carrier and may monitor a search space configured for scheduling multiple component carriers. In some cases, the UE may be configured to monitor a search space allocated for a virtual component carrier associated with scheduling multiple component carriers, or the UE may be configured to monitor for a subset of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates in search spaces associated with the first and second component carriers, where the subset of PDCCH candidates may be allocated for multi-component carrier scheduling. The UE may receive downlink control information (DCI) that schedules a set of data transmissions over the first and second component carriers and the UE may perform or receive the set of data transmissions over the first and second component carrier.

A user equipment (UE) may receive from a network entity a message indicating one or more sets of parameters for a set of carriers supported by the UE, the one or more sets of parameters indicating communication parameters for communications via the set of carriers. The UE may monitor for a field of a control message based on the message. A field size of the field may be based on the sets of parameters, and a respective value for the field may indicate a respective set of parameters of the sets of parameters for one or more carriers of the set of carriers. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive a transmission from multiple transmission and reception points (TRPs) according to a communication scheme, such as a multi-TRP or single frequency network (SFN) communication scheme, in which the multiple TRPs may transmit associated reference signals based on applying different transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states. The UE may receive a control message indicating the communication scheme and, in some examples, one or more parameters that the UE is to include in a corresponding channel state information (CSI) reference signal (CSI-RS) report. The UE, based on receiving the control message, may monitor for the reference signals from the multiple TRPs and generate the CSI-RS report based on receiving the reference signals and based on the indicated communication scheme. Accordingly, the UE may transmit the generated CSI-RS report.

A communication device, otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) may receive, in a first control resource set (CORESET), a first downlink control information (DCI) message scheduling a first uplink shared channel, the first CORESET corresponding to a first CORESET pool index. The UE may receive, in a second CORESET, a second DCI message scheduling a second uplink shared channel, the second CORSET corresponding to a second CORESET pool index different from the first CORESET pool index, where the second DCI message may be received before transmission of the first uplink shared channel. The UE may transmit both the first uplink shared channel and the second uplink shared channel based on the first uplink shared channel and the second uplink shared channel corresponding to a same hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A network entity may schedule uplink resource allocations across multiple cells by defining selection criteria for the uplink resource allocations in which to transmit a channel state information (CSI) report. For example, a user equipment (UE) may receive a control signal from the network entity, which may schedule the UE to transmit the CSI report in an uplink resource allocation on a component carrier in a carrier aggregation configuration. In some examples, the UE may transmit the CSI report by multiplexing the CSI report in uplink resource allocations on multiple component carriers. In some examples, the CSI report may be transmitted in an uplink resource allocation on a smallest component carrier index. Accordingly, the defined selection criteria may allow for more efficient procedures at the UE, which may result in increased efficiency and decreased overhead.

The UE may receive an indication of a pattern for puncturing a control signal associated with the first RAT around resources allocated for reference signals associated with a second RAT. In some examples, the CORESET may be associated with a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state and the UE may receive a message scheduling a data signal based on the CORESET. The data signal may be associated with the first RAT. The UE may receive an indication of a pattern for rate-matching the data signal around the resources allocated for reference signals associated with the second RAT. The UE may communicate the data signal according to the pattern.
