    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine that a control resource set (CORESET) is not configured for an active downlink bandwidth part of a component carrier (CC) of the UE. The UE may determine that a transmission configuration indication (TCI) state is not activated for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) of the active downlink bandwidth part of the CC. The UE may determine a default spatial relation for an uplink control channel or uplink signal for the CC based at least in part on determining that the CORESET is not configured for the active downlink bandwidth part of the CC and that the TCI state is not activated for the PDSCH of the active downlink bandwidth part of the CC. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to mechanisms for sidelink reservation across frequency bands. In some examples, a sidelink device may be configured to communicate over a first frequency band (e.g., a sub-6 gigahertz frequency band) and a second frequency band (e.g., a millimeter wave frequency band) with one or more other sidelink devices. The sidelink device may further be configured to perform cross-link resource reservation for a sidelink transmission in which a resource reservation message transmitted on the first frequency band indicates reserved resources within the second frequency band for the sidelink transmission. The sidelink device may then transmit sidelink control information (SCI) within a sidelink control channel on the second frequency band and user data traffic corresponding to the SCI within a sidelink data channel on the second frequency band.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. To support adaptive quantization level selection in federated learning, a server may cause a base station to transmit an indication of a quantization level for a user equipment (UE) to use to compress gradient data output by a machine learning model. For example, the server may determine, for each UE of a set of UEs, a respective quantization level for respective gradient data that is output by a respective machine learning model at each UE. The server may transmit, to each UE via one or more base stations, first information for use as an input in the respective machine learning model and an indication of the respective quantization level. A UE may receive the first information and the indication and may transmit, to the server, compressed gradient data that is generated based on (e.g., using) the indicated quantization level.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may identify that the UE is capable of performing up to a maximum quantity of antenna panel switches within a slot. For example, the UE may be capable of switching from operating one or more first antenna panels to operating one or more second antenna panels up to a maximum quantity of times within a slot. In some aspects, the UE may transmit an indication of the UE capability to a base station. The base station, based on receiving the indication of the UE capability, may transmit activation signaling indicating one or more antenna panel switches at the UE within a slot that is less than or equal to the maximum quantity of antenna panel switches per slot indicated by the UE capability.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device may be configured to receive, from a second wireless device via a sidelink communication link, a sidelink control information (SCI) scheduling an uplink transmission from the first wireless device to the second wireless device. The first wireless device may then generate the uplink transmission based on the SCI. The first wireless device may then transit the uplink transmission to the second wireless device via the sidelink communication link in accordance with the SCI.
