Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit a single downlink control information (DCI) to indicate two multicast physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs) for UEs of different capabilities. With the single DCI, different UEs with different capabilities may each receive separate PDSCHs, but the base station may transmit a single downlink control channel to signal the single DCI. The DCI may contain information for each of the multicast PDSCHs, such as a modulation and coding scheme, a time-domain resource assignment, a frequency-domain resource assignment, an antenna ports configuration, etc. for each multicast PDSCH. Subsequently, each UE may receive corresponding multicast PDSCHs parameters from this DCI based on the UE type or capability and may monitor for and receive a corresponding PDSCH from the base station. Additionally, the base station may transmit an activation message for the UEs to receive the single DCI.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit one or more synchronization signal blocks (SSBs), each SSB including a system information block (SIB), to one or more user equipments (UEs). A UE of the one or more UEs may select an SSB with a corresponding SSB index for receiving a SIB and subsequently a multicast transmission from the base station. The multicast transmission may include transmitting a multicast control channel, a multicast traffic channel, or both. The SIB may include one or more parameters for receiving the multicast transmission. The UE may identify one or more monitoring occasions for monitoring a physical downlink control channel for scheduling the multicast transmission based on the SSB index. The UE may receive the multicast transmission in accordance with the one or more parameters from the physical downlink control channel during the one or more monitoring occasions.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. One method for providing a wake-up signal to user equipments (UEs) that support multiple multicast sessions may include a base station transmitting configuration information to a UE indicating a wake-up signal configuration for one or more multicast sessions. Accordingly, the UE may monitor the one or more multicast sessions for a wake-up signal and receive, prior to an active duration of a multicast session, a wake-up signal from the base station. The wake-up signal may include control signaling indicating to the UE which of a set of multicast sessions the UE is to monitor. The UE may determine which multicast sessions to monitor based on the received control signaling.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) receives information for a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) or a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), where the PDCCH/PDSCH are broadcast or group-cast from a base station and have a quasi co-location relationship with a synchronization signal/PBCH (SSB) block or a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) beam. The UE monitors for or receives the PDCCH/PDSCH based on at least one of a search space (SS) set configuration enhancement for the PDCCH, a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) resource configuration enhancement for the PDCCH or the PDSCH, or a scrambling identifier set enhancement for payload bits of the PDCCH or the PDSCH, which support the spatial division multiplexing (SDM) with another PDCCH/PDSCH that are broadcast or group-cast from the same base station and have the quasi co-location relationship with a different SSB block or a different CSI-RS beam.
