Abstract: Systems and methods for assessing similarity of documents are provided. Embodiments of the systems and methods include extracting a reference document text from a reference document, extracting an archived document text from an archived document, and quantifying the reference document and the archived document. The systems and methods may also include determining a document similarity value of the quantified reference document and the archived document. Determining the document similarity value includes calculating a set of vector similarity values for a set of combinations of a reference document text vector and an archived document text vector, and calculating the document similarity value, including a sum of the plurality of vector similarity values.

Abstract: Techniques for automatically attaching optical character recognition data to images are provided. The techniques include receiving an image file containing an image and performing optical character recognition on the image to generate text output. The techniques then continue by identifying a particular text item from within the generated text output and determining that the particular text item is a value for particular corresponding key. Then metadata that indicates that the particular text item is a value for the particular key is stored in the image file.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for using one or more feature recognition system(s) to identify features in a scanned image and to associate tags with identified features are described. Probabilities of a feature being present are taken into consideration in some embodiments. In various embodiments once a tag has been determined as corresponding to a feature which has been confirmed as being in the scanned image synonyms for the tag word are identified and also associated with the scanned image. By using results of multiple automated feature recognition systems and generating overall probabilities that a feature is present in an image more reliable tagging can be implemented in an automated manner than in system which rely on a single AI system without the need for extensive operator input with respect to identification of all features in the image which are to be tagged.

A scene from the media asset that contains a play position indicated by the slider is identified and a frame that best matches user profile data of the user and importance data for the scene is identified. The identified frame is generated for display as an overlay over the displayed media asset.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a method performed at a computer system that is in communication with an electric vehicle charging station (EVCS). The EVCS includes a camera for obtaining images in a region proximal to the EVCS. The method includes capturing, using the camera, a plurality of images of electric vehicles, each image in the plurality of images being an image of a respective electric vehicle. The method further includes, for each respective image of the plurality of images of electric vehicles: determining, without user intervention, a characteristic of the respective electric vehicle; and tagging, without user intervention, the respective image with the characteristic of the respective electric vehicle. The method further includes training a first machine learning algorithm to identify the characteristic of other electric vehicles using the tagged plurality of images.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for overlaying themed imagery onto real-world objects in a head-mounted display device (HMDD). A computing device receives, from an HMDD, depth data that identifies distances from the HMDD to surfaces of a plurality of objects in a user space. The computing device detects at least one object in the user space based at least in part on the depth data. The computing device determines a classification of video content being presented on a display system of the HMDD. The computing device selects, based on the classification, a particular image theme from a plurality of different image themes, the image theme comprising one or more image textures. The computing device sends, to the HMDD, at least one image texture for overlaying the at least one object during presentation of the at least one object on the display system of the HMDD in conjunction with the video content.

Abstract: A system, method and computer program product for accessing content based on an image. Abstract: Systems and methods are directed to automatically creating customized whiteboard backgrounds. A network system accesses metadata associated with a virtual presentation (e.g., title, topic, tenant identifier). First image data is identified based on first data of the metadata and second image data is identified based on second data of the metadata. Using the first image data and the second image data, the network system generates a plurality of whiteboard backgrounds by combining a first object obtained from the first image data with a second object obtained from the second image data to form each whiteboard background. The network system then causes presentation of a representation of each of the plurality of whiteboard backgrounds on a user interface of a host, who can select one of the representations. In response to receiving a selection, a whiteboard background corresponding to the selected representation is displayed as background on a whiteboard canvas.
