Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for identification reinterpretation in sidelink control information (SCI) are described. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit to a second UE or device, on a sidelink channel, SCI. The SCI may include a partial source and destination identifier fields and may indicate to the second UE to apply a first interpretation of multiple different interpretations for the partial source identifier field and the partial destination identifier field. For example, the SCI may indicate to interpret the partial source identifier field and the partial destination identifier field in combination as a source identifier field, as a destination identifier field, or as a partial source identifier and a partial destination identifier. The UE may transmit a medium access control (MAC) packet including a MAC header with identifier fields set to be complementary to the SCI.

Abstract: A configuration for an originating wireless device to transmit one or more MAC-CEs, where each of the one or more MAC-CEs include information related to the number of MAC-CEs transmitted. The apparatus transmits at least one of a plurality of related MAC-CEs to a second wireless device based on a determination of at least a first path of a plurality of paths to transmit the at least one of the plurality of related MAC-CEs. The at least one of the plurality of related MAC-CEs indicates a number of the plurality of related MAC-CEs transmitted by the first wireless device. The apparatus monitors for a response MAC-CE from the second wireless device based on a transmission of the at least one of the plurality of related MAC-CEs. The response MAC-CE corresponds to an activation of the MAC-CE transmitted to the second wireless device.

Abstract: A base station may transmit downlink control information messages (DCIs) that schedule multiple physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs) in a single DCI (multi-PDSCH DCIs) to a UE. The base station may generate DCIs with multiple downlink association index (DAI) bitwidths. The base station generate a given DCI with a DAI bitwidth based on a DCI format of the DCI, based on whether the DCI is a multi-PDSCH DCI, based on a carrier that the DCI is transmitted on, or whether the base station is capable of scheduling the UE with multi-PDSCH DCIs in general. The UE may determine the DAI bitwidth of received DCIs and may determine whether any DCIs were missed based on the DAI and the bitwidth of the DAI.

Abstract: Aspects relate to a relay device detecting a change in a protocol data unit (PDU) session configuration that the relay device has established for a user equipment (UE) that accesses a network via the relay device. Upon detecting this change, the relay device signals an indication of the change to the UE. Aspects also relate to UE that is connected to a relay device and that reselects an interworking function (e.g., a non-3rd Generation Partnership Project interworking function (N3IWF)). In some examples, the UE receives an indication from the relay device that a serving relay PDU session configuration has changed and, in response, the UE selects a new interworking function.
