Abstract:
The present invention relates to an active scanning method and apparatus. The method of performing scanning in a wireless local area network (WLAN) includes: a step of a scanning station generating scan request information so as to order active scanning; a step of the scanning station receiving a scanning frame from the station; and a step of the scanning station transmitting a probe request frame in order to perform the active scanning in case the received scanning frame does not include any of the elements that are ordered in the scan request information. Accordingly, scanning procedures can be performed quickly.
Abstract:
A method for accessing an initial channel by a STA can comprise the steps of: the STA receiving, via a first band from a multiband AP, a scanning frame comprising a neighboring AP information element, wherein the neighboring AP information element comprises information for a second band which is an operating band for the neighboring AP; the STA determining whether accessing the neighboring AP is possible on the basis of information comprised in the neighboring AP information element regarding an access network type of the neighboring AP operating in the second band; if access to the neighboring AP is possible, the STA transmitting an association request frame to the neighboring AP via the second band, wherein the access network type can comprise information regarding an access permission type of a neighboring AP.
Abstract:
A device and method for active scanning are disclosed. The active scanning method in a wireless LAN can comprise the steps of: allowing an AP to receive a probe request frame containing an the AP identifier; determining whether the AP is a target AP or a non-target AP on the basis of the AP identifier; and performing back-off for the transmission of a probe response frame from a second interval after a first interval is terminated in a minimum channel interval when the AP is a non-target AP. Therefore, the present invention can prevent probe response frames from flooding a STA in a short period of time by distributing intervals in which probe response frames are received to the STA. In addition, the time used by the STA to perform active scanning can be reduced.

Specifically, the present invention is directed to a method of setting up a ProSe connection by a ProSe-enabled UE of a first MNO in a cellular communication system and an apparatus therefore, in which the method comprises: broadcasting a first message including first resource allocation information for a first radio resource of the first MNO, wherein the first message is broadcast using a specific radio resource that is available to ProSe-enabled UEs of a second MNO; and receiving acknowledgement information regarding the first message from one or more ProSe-enabled UEs of the second MNO by using the first radio resource of the first MNO.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for active scanning in a wireless LAN. The method for active scanning in a wireless LAN may comprise the steps of: a first station (STA) transmitting a first probe request frame to an access point (AP); and a first STA receiving a probe response frame from the AP, wherein the probe response frame is a response for the probe request frame, and the first probe request frame comprises fast initial link setup (FILS) capability information which can indicate whether the first STA supports FILS.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a scanning method and scanning apparatus in a wireless LAN. The scanning method in a wireless LAN comprises: a step in which an access point (AP) receives a first probe request frame from a first station (STA); a step in which the AP unicasts a first probe response frame to the first STA as a response to the first probe request frame; a step in which the AP receives a second probe request frame from a second STA for a specific time interval after unicasting the first probe response frame to the first STA; and a step in which the AP broadcasts a second probe response frame as a response to the second probe request frame for a specific time interval. Thus, scanning processes can be quickly performed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more specifically, disclosed are a method and an apparatus for filtering-based scanning in a WLAN system. A method for a station (STA) setting up a high-speed link in the wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: transmitting a first frame comprising filtering information to at least one access point (AP); and receiving a second frame from a portion or all of the at least one AP, wherein whether to transmit the second frame can be determined on the basis of the filtering information.
Abstract:
A method and a device for performing active scanning are disclosed. The method for active scanning of a STA comprises the steps of: transmitting a probe request frame that contains channel monitoring type information in a scanning channel; determining whether the scanning channel is in a busy state until a MinimumChannelTime; determining whether a PPDU including a valid PLCP header is received in the scanning channel until the MinimumChannelTime; and determining a time for monitoring a probe response frame transmitted by the AP in the scanning channel based on whether the PPDU is received until the MinimumChannelTime and channel monitoring type information, when the scanning channel is in the busy state, wherein the channel monitoring type information can contain information on a type with which the STA monitors the probe response frame in the scanning channel.
