Abstract: This application relates to the field of wireless communications technologies, and discloses an encoding method and apparatus, to improve accuracy of reliability calculation and ordering for polarized channels. The method includes: obtaining a first sequence used to encode K to-be-encoded bits, where the first sequence includes sequence numbers of N polarized channels, the first sequence is same as a second sequence or a subset of the second sequence, the second sequence comprises sequence numbers of Nmax, polarized channels, and the second sequence is the sequence shown in Sequence Q11 or Table Q11, K is a positive integer, N is a positive integer power of 2, n is equal to or greater than 5, K≤N, Nmax=1024; selecting sequence numbers of K polarized channels from the first sequence; and performing polar code encoding on K the to-be-encoded bits based on the selected sequence numbers of the K polarized channels.

Abstract: The application provides manner for communicating channel state information (CSI) in a communication network. A preset length is used for equalizing lengths of CSI to be reported. The preset length is determined based on a quantity of CSI-reference signal (RS) ports. A communication device determines whether a total length of one or more indication information items to be included in the CSI is less than the preset length. If the total length of the one or more indication information items to be included in the CSI is less than the preset length, the communication device adds one or more padding bits, to obtain a CSI bit sequence including the one or more indication information items and the one or more padding bits. A total length of the CSI bit sequence is consistent with the preset length. The communication device then outputs the CSI bit sequence.

Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure enhance the error detection performance of parallel polar encoding by cross-concatenating parity bits between segments of information bits transmitted over different sets of sub-channels. In one embodiment, a first segment of information bits is transmitted over a first set of sub-channels, and at least a second segment of information bits, and a masked parity bit, are transmitted over a second set of sub-channels. A value of the masked parity bit is equal to a bitwise combination of a first parity bit computed from the first segment of information bits and a second parity bit computed from the second segment of information bits. The bitwise combination may be a bitwise AND, a bitwise OR, or a bitwise XOR of the respective parity bits.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide example methods and apparatuses for transmitting pattern information. One example method for transmitting pattern information includes obtaining pattern information and sending the pattern information to UE. The first pattern information indicates that the spectrum of the first cell is allocated to the first RAT in a first plurality of sub-frames and that the spectrum of the first cell is allocated to the second RAT in a second plurality of sub-frames. The first pattern information enables at least one of the UE to select any sub-frame in the first plurality of sub-frames to measure a CRS if the UE RAT pattern corresponds to the first RAT or the UE to select any sub-frame in the second plurality of sub-frames to measure the CRS if the UE RAT pattern corresponds to the second RAT.

Abstract: A system, base station and method are disclosed for detecting a radio network problem. For a handover failure occurs on a user equipment (UE), a first base station receives, problem information about the occurred handover failure from the UE, after a radio resource control (RRC) connection is reestablished or established between the UE and a cell controlled by the first base station. The first base station then transmits the received problem information to a second base station controlling a cell where the handover failure occurs. In this way, the network side can automatically identify and detect the handover failure. As such, the network can perform self-adjustment and optimization, therefore improving the network performance and satisfying use requirements of users.
