Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to communicating feedback in wireless communications. A user equipment (UE) can receive, in a downlink portion of a slot, data communications from a base station, where the data communications comprise multiple code blocks received in one or more downlink symbols. The UE can generate one or more feedback bits to provide feedback for the multiple code blocks. The UE can transmit, to the base station and in an uplink portion of the slot, an indication of the one or more feedback bits.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit uplink transmissions according to a frequency hopping pattern. The UE may identify that a first set of uplink transmissions are to be transmitted to a base station by a first set of resources (e.g., a first set of slots, a first set of frequency resources) as indicated by the frequency hopping pattern. The UE may further identify, based on the frequency hopping pattern, that a second set of uplink transmissions are to be transmitted to the base station by a second set of resources (e.g., a second set of slots, a second set of frequency resources). The first set of slots and the second set of slots may each include more than one slot. Additionally, the first and second set of resources may be within a same bandwidth part or in different bandwidth parts.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to methods and apparatus of time-domain multiplexing (TDM) for reference signals (RS) and data using a modified cyclic prefix. A reference signal (RS) and data are multiplexed either in a single symbol or in two time consecutive symbols that respectively including the RS and data. The cyclic prefix (CP) is added to the single symbol using a portion of the RS or to a first symbol of the two time consecutive symbols using a portion of the RS. The CP may be copied from the RS or the end of the symbol, but not the data, in a manner that affords a virtual Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) of the RS and data before discrete Fourier transform (DFT) spreading is performed in a transceiver to provide lower peak to average power ratios and no Inter-symbol interference.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for concurrent reference signal transmissions using common resources, such as demodulation reference signal (DMRS) transmissions, from a number of non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) transmitters. Different transmitters may use different sequences for reference signal transmissions, which may allow a receiver, such as a wireless base station, to decode the reference signal transmissions for each NOMA transmitter and perform channel estimation for each NOMA transmitter. The reference signal transmissions may be asynchronous with a bounded timing offset or quasi-synchronous, and the reference signal sequence selection may provide for relatively reliable channel estimation and coherent demodulation.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems (e.g., new radio (NR) wireless communications systems), a base station may serve a large number of user equipment (UEs). The base station may allocate uplink control channel resources to the UEs. A UE may receive, from the base station, a first resource assignment for a first set of symbols. The UE may also receive, from the base station, a second resource assignment for a second set of symbols, where the first set of symbols and the second set of symbols include an overlapping set of symbols. The UE may modify first resources for the first resource assignment, second resources for the second resource assignment, or both. The UE may then transmit first information based on the first resource assignment.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink grant that does not include a downlink assignment index (DAI); determine a pre-defined bundle window, associated with ACK/NACK multiplexing or bundling, based at least in part on receiving the downlink grant that does not include the DAI; and transmit ACK/NACK feedback to acknowledge or negatively acknowledge one or more downlink communications received in the pre-defined bundle window. In some aspects, a UE may receive a downlink grant that does not include a DAI; determine a bundle window, associated with ACK/NACK multiplexing or bundling, based at least in part on receiving the downlink grant that does not include the DAI, wherein the bundle window is not pre-defined; and transmit ACK/NACK feedback to acknowledge or negatively acknowledge one or more downlink communications received in the bundle window. Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure provides methods and techniques for flexible positioning of a uplink short burst in NR communications. In one example, the uplink short burst may have a slot position that at any position of the uplink centric slot. For instance, a downlink centric slot may contain control signals from a base station, such as a grant, that indicate the slot position of the uplink short burst. The grant may indicate, explicitly or implicitly, the position within an uplink centric slot that should be assigned to an uplink short burst. The UE may then transmit a response including an uplink short burst within the indicated slot position of an uplink centric slot. The various aspects may thus enable the dynamic assignment of uplink short bursts within uplink centric slots.
