Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for configuring group indices for uplink transmissions from a user equipment (UE) such that the UE may be able to determine whether to combine uplink transmissions scheduled on overlapping time resources. Specifically, the UE may combine uplink transmissions associated with a same group index for transmission in a single channel, and the UE may avoid combining uplink transmissions associated with different group indices. In some cases, the indication of a group index associated with an uplink transmission from a UE may be explicit (e.g., provided in a downlink control information (DCI) message), and, in other cases, the indication of a group index associated with an uplink transmission from a UE may be implicit (e.g., corresponding to a resource allocated for the uplink transmission).

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communications and, more particularly, to methods and apparatus for adjusting a number of encoded bits, M, in block puncturing and/or shortening calculations to improve encoding performance. An exemplary method that may be performed by a wireless device generally includes iteratively determining a parameter, Madj, for construction of a polar code of size N for use in encoding K information bits, based on: at least two parameters, α and β, related to how many iterations to use in determining Madj, and a number of encoded bits, M; performing information adjustment allocation of the K information bits to an upper part and a lower part of the polar code based on Madj; and transmitting the upper part and the lower part of the polar code via a wireless medium.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. An energy harvesting device may transmit energy status information for the energy harvesting device, where the energy harvesting device may cycle between an energy harvesting mode and a wireless communication mode. During the wireless communication mode, the energy harvesting device may receive control signaling indicating to apply a first feedback process type (e.g., a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process) of multiple different feedback process types based on the energy status information. The energy harvesting device may receive a control message scheduling transmission of a message to the energy harvesting wireless device in a resource of a shared data channel. Accordingly, the energy harvesting device may monitor the resource for the message based on the control message and may transmit feedback information for the message in accordance with the indicated feedback process type.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for receiving control information indicating a starting time and at least one of a duration or an end time associated with the interference measurements, wherein the duration is a difference between the end time and the starting time, measuring a plurality of reference signals associated with the interference measurements between the starting time and the end time at a period, generating a plurality of interference reports based on measuring the plurality of reference signals, and transmitting the plurality of interference reports to a base station (BS).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) may receive a control message indicating a feedback resource configuration for transmitting feedback information over a sidelink feedback channel that includes two or more symbol periods. The feedback resource configuration may include one or more start and length indicator values (SLIVs), one or more bitmaps, or a combination thereof. The first wireless device may receive a sidelink message from a second wireless device (e.g., a UE) over a sidelink shared channel. The first wireless device may transmit the feedback information to the second wireless device based on decoding the sidelink message from the second wireless device. The first wireless device may transmit the feedback information over the sidelink feedback channel using the two or more symbol periods in accordance with the feedback resource configuration.
