Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and a communications system for switching a transmission time interval, user equipment, and an evolved NodeB (eNB). User equipment (UE) calculates a transmission time interval (TTI) switching characteristic parameter, and the UE sends a TTI switching request message if the TTI switching characteristic parameter meets a switching condition. The eNB sends, to the UE, a TTI switching indication message that includes indication information of a second TTI, and the UE performs transmission by using the second TTI. By using the method for switching a TTI, the UE and the eNB described in the embodiments of the present disclosure, a TTI used for transmission can be adjusted in time according to a channel quality change of the UE, thereby remarkably shortening a service delay.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide: dividing, by a base station, a frequency band of a cell into N frequency ranges, where the N frequency ranges include a common frequency range and a dedicated frequency range; sending, by the base station, information about the N frequency ranges and random access resource information of the cell to a UE; mapping, by the base station, a service bearer DRB of the UE into at least one frequency range of the N frequency ranges; and transmitting, by using a radio interface technology supported by the specified frequency range into which the DRB is mapped, a service carried on the DRB with the UE. A method for using a radio interface technology includes: using, by UE, a common frequency range, and optionally, using, by the UE, a dedicated frequency range to perform wireless network access.

The handover method includes: sending an indication message by a base station, wherein the indication message is used to instruct the terminal to further establish a connection to the base station through a second channel in a case in which the terminal maintains a connection to the base station through a first channel; receiving an access message by the base station through the first channel, wherein the access message indicates that the terminal has established the connection to the base station through the second channel; sending a handover command by the base station, wherein the handover command instructs the terminal to switch the communication with the base station from the first channel to the second channel; and switching, by the base station, communication with the terminal from the first channel to the second channel.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a communication method, a network-side device, and user equipment. The method includes: receiving, by a network-side device, a radio resource control RRC connection reestablishment request message, where the RRC connection reestablishment request message is used to request to perform RRC connection reestablishment; and sending, by the network-side device, an RRC connection reestablishment indication message, where the RRC connection reestablishment indication message carries a configuration parameter, and the configuration parameter includes at least one of a signaling radio bearer SRB2 configuration parameter or a data radio bearer DRB configuration parameter. The network-side device sends only the RRC connection reestablishment indication message, thereby effectively reducing a reestablishment delay and physical resource overheads.
