Abstract: In one embodiment, a client device enters an area having an overhead mesh of access points, each access point comprising one or more directional transmitters each configured to transmit a beam cone in a substantially downward direction towards a floor of the area. The client device obtains an area-dependent communication schedule for the overhead mesh that is exclusive or partially-exclusive to the client device for the area. The client device sends, during an arbitrary timeslot of the area-dependent communication schedule, a pull request. The client device receives, from a particular access point in the overhead mesh, a packet in response to the pull request.

Abstract: Techniques for using Network Address Translation (NAT), Mobile Internet Protocol (MIP), and/or other techniques in conjunction with Domain Name System (DNS) to anonymize server-side addresses in data communications. Rather than having DNS provide a client device with an IP address of an endpoint device, such as a server, the DNS instead returns a virtual IP (VIP) address that is mapped to the client device and the endpoint device. In this way, IP addresses of servers are obfuscated by a virtual network of VIP addresses. The client device may then communicate data packets to the server using the VIP address as the destination address, and a virtual network service that works in conjunction with DNS can convert the VIP address to the actual IP address of the server using NAT and forward the data packet onto the server.

Abstract: Broadcast energy and spectrum consumption optimization may be provided. It may be determined, by a computing device for each of a plurality of client devices, a corresponding plurality of respective minimum Modulation and Coding Schemes (MCSs) needed to reach each of the respective plurality of client devices from the computing device at a predetermined power level. Next, an optimal MCS from the plurality of respective minimum MCSs may be used to reach a first group of the plurality of client devices via broadcast. Then unicast may be used to reach a second group of the plurality of client devices wherein the optimal MCS is selected to minimize the total amount of airtime used for the broadcast and the unicast.

Abstract: Providing for time sensitive networking (TSN) traffic in high density deployments is described. An access point (AP) is a high density deployment receives a message identifying another AP as a TSN neighbor and also detects a TSN device within an area covered by the APs. This arrangement may cause traffic interruptions for the TSN traffic between the TSN device and the APs. In order to prevent disruption in TSN traffic, a TSN time slot and a resource unit (RU) is determined for each of the APs, and the TSN traffic is communicated between the various devices in network according to the determined TSN time slot and RU.

Abstract: Balancing Multi-link Operation (MLO) usage may be provided. A list of a plurality of Access Points (APs) for each of a plurality of Multi-link Operation (MLO) types indicating availability of each of the plurality of APs may be received. A first request indicating an MLO type associated with the first request is a first MLO type may be received. In response to the first request, a first subset of the list of the plurality of APs that support the MLO type associated with the first request may be sent. A second request indicating that an MLO type associated with the second request is the first MLO type may be received. In response to the second request, a second subset of the list of the plurality of APs that support the MLO type associated with the second request may be sent. The first subset is different from the second subset.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a device sends data traffic to a gateway of a backhaul mesh network via a first wireless access point of the backhaul mesh network. The device maintains, while associated with the first wireless access point, an association with a second wireless access point of the backhaul mesh network by sending a frame to the first wireless access point that is relayed by the first wireless access point to the second wireless access point. The device makes a determination that additional data traffic should be sent to the gateway of the backhaul mesh network via the second wireless access point. The device sends, based on the determination, the additional data traffic to the gateway of the backhaul mesh network via the second wireless access point.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method comprises: joining, by a network device, a network topology rooted by a root network device in a data network, and in response transmitting an advertisement indicating a position of the network device in the network topology; suppressing a second transmission based on initiating a deferred transmission operation in response to transmitting the advertisement; maintaining the deferred transmission operation to enable a prescribed minimum number of other network devices to join the network topology at respective identified lower positions than the position of the network device; and changing, by the network device, from the deferred transmission operation to an accelerated operation in response to expiration of a prescribed deferral interval or detecting the prescribed minimum number of other network devices having the respective identified lower positions, the accelerated operation enabling the network device to initiate transmission of a data packet before the other network devices.

Abstract: Systems and methods may include sending, to a network registrar, an extended duplicate address request (EDAR) message including a first nonce generated by a host computing device, and receiving, from the network registrar, an extended duplicate address confirmation (EDAC) message including a second nonce and a first signature, a first nonce pair including the first nonce and the second nonce being signed by the network registrar via a first key pair of the network registrar via the first signature. The systems and methods may further include sending a first neighbor advertisement (NA) message to the host computing device including the second nonce. The second nonce and a public key of the network registrar verifies the first signature from the network registrar, the verification of the first signature indicating that a router through which the host computing device connects to a network is not impersonating the network.

Abstract: Optimal determination of wireless network pathway configurations may be provided. A computing device may receive an error profile and a response instruction associated with the error profile, as generated by a network controller. The computing device may then monitor, for an error, on a communication Track, in a network, between an ingress node and an egress node. Then, the computing device, upon detecting the error, can determine that the error is similar to the error profile, and based on the determination that the error is similar to the error profile, enact the response instruction. The response instruction can direct the computing device to switch from the communication Track to a communication subTrack between the ingress node and the egress node.
