摘要: A power tool is provided, including a housing; a brushless DC (BLDC) motor arranged within the housing, the motor including a stator and a rotor rotatably disposed within the stator; a power module electrically disposed between the motor and a power supply, the power module including power switches; an actuator engageable by a user; and a control module configured to control a switching operation of the power switches to begin supply power to the motor when the actuator is engaged. The control module monitors engagement and disengagement events of the actuator, and ignores a subsequent engagement of the actuator if at least one of number of actuator engagement events and/or number of actuator disengagement events exceeds a predetermined threshold value within a predetermined time.

摘要: A method of preventing a windshield wiper from freezing to a windshield of a vehicle is provided. The method broadly includes the steps of: (a) receiving information relating to an ambient condition of the vehicle; (b) switching power to a motor for driving the windshield wiper in a first direction if the received information indicates an adverse ambient condition of the vehicle; (c) sensing current drawn by the motor; (d) comparing an initial sensed current drawn by the motor when power is initially switched to the motor to a subsequent sensed current drawn by the motor a period after power is initially switched to the motor; and (e) periodically reversing the motor for driving the windshield wiper in a second direction or the first direction until the subsequent sensed current is less than the initial sensed current.

The apparatus includes three rotational angle detecting systems to detect three rotational angles of the brushless motor; and an angle diagnosing section that compares absolute values of differences on respective angles outputted from the three rotational angle detecting systems with a threshold, and performs a process by diagnosing whether the rotational angle detecting systems are normal or abnormal; wherein the assist control is continuously performed by using output angles outputted from systems diagnosed as being normal.

摘要: Systems and methods associated with an HVAC system and a multi-functional ECM motor for use in the HVAC system are disclosed. The motor controller of the ECM motor includes a microprocessor, a tap detection circuit and a power source portion. The tap detection circuit is coupled to several tap input lines. The motor also includes first and second AC input wires, a common wire, a ground wire, a first jumper wire and a second jumper wire. Each tap input line is coupled to the first input terminal of one current sensing unit. The first jumper wire is coupled to the second AC input wire, and the second jumper wire is coupled to the common wire. By coupling different wires of the ECM motor differently when replacing a PSC motor than when replacing ECM motors, the ECM motor is configured to replace PSC motors and ECM motors in HVAC systems.

摘要: An overcurrent protection circuit includes a load drive portion that drives a load based on a power supply voltage; a wire that connects the load and the load drive portion; a current detection portion that detects a load current showing a value of a current flowing through the load; a voltage detection portion; and a controller that controls the load drive portion to control a drive of the load, the controller determining an addition-and-subtraction value, controlling the load drive portion to cut off the load current, and stopping driving the load to protect a protection target from an overcurrent. The controller subtracts the integration value based on an elapsed time after cutoff of the load current. The controller controls the load drive portion to again start to drive the load, and also calculates a post-correction integration value lower than a pre-correction integration value by correcting the pre-correction integration value.
