摘要： A winding core holding mechanism is described for holding at least one end portion of a winding core on which a thin medium such as paper, film, or cloth is wound. The mechanism comprises a base fixed in the axial direction of the winding core. A larger diameter reference portion is included, which is capable of axially moving in and out of the base and abuts an end face of the winding core. The mechanism also comprises a tapered larger diameter centering portion which is capable of axially moving in and out of the larger diameter reference portion and fits into the winding core of larger diameter. Also included is a smaller diameter reference portion, which is capable of axially moving in and out of the base and abuts an end face of the winding core of smaller diameter. A tapered smaller diameter centering portion is further included, which is capable of axially moving in and out of the smaller diameter reference portion and fits into the winding core of smaller diameter. In order to hold the winding core of larger diameter, the larger diameter centering portion centers the winding core while falling into the larger diameter reference portion, and also the larger diameter reference portion falls into the base to position the end face at a predetermined reference position with respect to the base. In order to hold the winding core of smaller diameter, the smaller diameter centering portion centers the winding core while falling into the smaller diameter reference portion, and also the smaller diameter reference portion, the larger diameter reference portion, and the larger diameter centering portion fall into the base to position the end face at the reference position.

摘要： Device that enables a person to separate from a roll any length of flexible sheet material, typically toilet paper or paper kitchen towel. The moving parts of the device consist of a rotor, to which the roll is firmly attached, and an L-shaped braking arm that has a limited freedom of movement around a peg that can be added to any conventional roll-holding device. The free end of the roll is slid through a slit in one leg of the L. Directing the pull on the roll's free end up or down, the arm will bend slightly upward or downward. When bent upward, a smooth section of an opening in the other leg of the L becomes engaged with a section of the rotor consisting of a sprocket or gear (Variant A), or with a cylindrical surface of the rotor (Variant B), and thus the rotor/roll assembly is allowed to turn unimpeded under the effect of pull on the end of the roll. When bend downward, the sprocket or gear of the rotor becomes engaged with a protrusion in the same opening of the arm (Variant A), or the said cylindrical surface of the rotor becomes engaged with a braking surface in the same opening (Variant B), and thereby the rotor/roll assembly will stop turning. Increasing the pull, a piece of the roll outside slit will tear off.

摘要： A cable reel lifter/transporter apparatus for elevating a heavy cable reel above a surface to permit free rotation of the reel, thereby allowing cable or tubing to be payed off the reel, and for manually transporting cable reels includes a pair of L-shaped planar frames each having a long straight handlebar arm and a relatively short straight leg which depends perpendicularly downwards from a lower surface of the handlebar, near a front transverse end thereof, each leg having at the lower end thereof a short tubular foot. A tubular bearing support protruding upwards from each handlebar rotatably supports opposite ends of a horizontal cable reel support shaft. A pair of arbors slidable on the shaft have inner tapered portions insertable into a separate spindle hole in each of two disk-shaped end plates of a cable reel, and subsequently secured to the shaft to hold the shaft and cable reel in a fixed position between the frames. Hand pressure exerted downwardly on the rear ends of the handlebars pivots the legs around the tubular axes of the feet, causing the cable reel support shaft and cable reel to elevate the reel end plates to a freely rotatable position above the ground. Rotating the handlebars on the cable reel support shaft in an opposite direction elevates the legs and feet above the ground, allowing the rear ends of the handlebars to be grasped to push the reel rollably along a surface, the cable reel end plates serving as wheels.

The roll support (10) provides a simple mechanism for removably connecting a suspended roll (12) to a housing (14) without the need of manually inserting a mandrel through the spool (16) of the roll (12). 摘要： A device for holding and dispensing moistened tissue from a roll includes a housing having a cylindrical wall, a fixed end wall and an opposite removable end wall to allow placement of the tissue roll on an integral tubular dowel in the housing. A hinged door moves between a normally closed, sealed position and an open position to facilitate removal of individual sheets of the moistened tissue through an access opening. Pegs extending outwardly from the opposite end walls are keyed to fit within congruently configured recesses of a holder for securing the housing to the holder without rotating. An ejection control urges one of the pegs inwardly against a spring to release the housing from the holder to facilitate refilling of tissue when needed. In one embodiment, the holder accommodates both a roll of dry tissue and a roll of moistened tissue. Sheets of paper packaged on the roll include a central panel and opposite side panels folded over a top side of the central panel for compactness and ease of grasping the edges of the side panels when detaching each sheet from the roll.
