Abstract: In a method for obtaining a hot-press-formed steel member, a steel sheet containing 0.10-0.30 mass % of C, 1.0-2.5 mass % of Si, 1.0-3.0 mass % of Si and Al in total, and 1.5-3.0 mass % of Mn is heated at a heating temperature of not less than the Ac3 transformation point. The steel sheet is hot-press formed for one or more times. The starting temperature of the hot pressing is not more than the heating temperature but not less than the Ms point. The average cooling rate from (Ms point−150)° C. to 40° C. is 5° C./s or less. The hot-press-formed steel member has high strength, high tensile elongation, high bendability, excellent deformation characteristics at the time of collision crush, and excellent delayed fracture resistance.

Abstract: Disclosed is an ultra-low temperature medium pressure forming method for complex curved-shaped components. The method includes steps of distributing a blank by die closing preforming and forming the complex curved-shaped components by ultra-low temperature medium pressurization, comprising: placing a plate on a female die and tightly pressing the plate by a blank holder; driving a male die to move downwards to make the plate distribute the blank in advance in a large-area mode, thus forming a prefabricated plate blank; filling a cavity with an ultra-low temperature medium to make the prefabricated plate blank be gradually attached to a molded surface of a female die cavity under the pressure action of the ultra-low temperature medium, and thereby forming the complex curved-shaped component; and removing the male die blank holder and taking out the formed complex curved-shaped component.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a tooling station for forming containers that includes a blank and draw punch configured to blank off a portion of stock from a stock element and draw the portion of stock to form a cup. The blank and draw punch curved edge has a radius of curvature that varies along its circumference. The tooling station also includes a draw-redraw die configured to redraw the cup to form a can having a flange. The draw redraw die includes a draw-redraw die curved edge disposed between a draw-redraw die inner circumferential wall and a draw-redraw die proximal surface. The draw-redraw die curved edge has a radius of curvature that varies along its circumference.

Abstract: The method includes treating a metal sheet having a bcc structure and a surface satisfying conditions (a) or (b), molding the metal sheet to cause plane strain tensile deformation and biaxial tensile deformation, and allowing at least one part of the metal sheet to have a sheet thickness decrease rate of from 10% to 30%. Condition (a): an area fraction of crystal grains having a crystal orientation of 15° or less relative to a (001) plane parallel to a surface of the metal sheet is from 0.20 to 0.35. Condition (b): the area fraction of crystal grains having a crystal orientation of 15° or less relative to a (001) plane parallel to a surface of the metal sheet is 0.45 or less, the average crystal grain size thereof is 15 μm or less. The molded product satisfies conditions (a) or (b).

Abstract: A hot-press molding method of the present disclosure includes a first heating process in which a steel plate is heated and the entire steel plate becomes austenite, a first cooling process in which a cooling rate of the steel plate after the first heating process is partially changed, a first region which is a part of the steel plate is transformed into martensite, and a second region other than the first region remains as austenite, a second heating process in which the entire steel plate is reheated and the first region becomes tempered martensite, and a second cooling process in which the entire steel plate after the second heating process is cooled. At least one of the first cooling process and the second cooling process is performed during a molding process in which the steel plate is press-molded on a molding die.
