    摘要: A complete refrigeration system (CRS) including at least one heat exchanger which is designed to occupy an irregular volume to reduce the overall profile of the CRS. The heat exchanger may be a condenser or an evaporator, and includes a substantially solid body made of a thermally conductive metal, plastic, or other material. A plurality of fluid and refrigerant passageways are defined substantially within the solid body for conducing fluid and refrigerant, respectively, through the solid body and facilitating the transfer of heat between the fluid and refrigerant. Also disclosed is a method wherein the spatial orientation of each passageway is optimized with respect to all of the other passageways and the walls of the solid body by determining the relative distance of each passageway from all of the other passageways and the walls of the solid body at a plurality of points along each passageway, followed by adjusting the spatial orientation of the passageway accordingly.

    摘要: An object is to provide a cold storage in which a cooling box is attached to a bottom wall of a thermal insulation box member without any trouble, cold air circulation is constituted in such a manner that cold air which has exchanged heat with a cooler is discharged into a storage chamber by an air blower via a cold air discharge port, and sucked into a cooling chamber via a cold air suction port, and the inside of the storage chamber can be cooled. A mechanical chamber is constituted under the storage chamber constituted in the thermal insulation box member, and the cold storage comprises: a cooling unit in which a cooler and a blower contained in the cooling chamber constituted in the cooling box, a compressor, a condenser and the like are arranged and integrated; and the cold air discharge port and the cold air suction port which are formed in the bottom wall of the thermal insulation box member constituting a ceiling of the mechanical chamber and which connect the inside of the storage chamber to that of the mechanical chamber. The compressor, condenser and the like are disposed on an attachment base, the cooling box is disposed on the attachment base in such a manner as to be movable to upper/lower positions, and the only cooling box is pushed up in a direction of the bottom wall.

    摘要: The instant invention is directed to a counter-top service bowl for chilling various foods and beverages. A miniaturized refrigeration system is secured to the outer surface of the bowl having an evaporator coil disposed within a coil chamber. Air is directed through the chamber and into the middle of the bowl cavity. At the bottom of the bowl is a series of holes lining the bottom of the bowl for induction back into the circulation chamber. In operation the bowl acts as a chiller wherein solid foods such as fruit is chilled by air circulation and associated contact along the surface of the bowl. A bowl liner insertable into the base bowl permits placement of non-solid foods such as fruit salads. The bowl liner seals the circulation chamber forcing air past an evaporator coil and outward through an exhaust port. The bowl liner can be removed for use as a conventional bowl and returned to maintain the chilled condition. A transparent cover allows for increased efficiency of the cooling system while various bowl inserts allow placement and chilling of peculiar beverage containers such as wine bottles.

    摘要: A refrigerated container incorporating welded corrugated steel external walls having insulation disposed within the interior to form an insulated structure. A refrigeration compressor power by an electric motor together with a diesel engine operatively connected to an electrical generator for supplying power to the electric motor is secured integral with the container externally of the insulated interior but positioned at one end and protected by the extended sides, top and bottom of the container walls. Fuel storage is also provided at one end of the container. Refrigeration evaporators extend longitudinally at the juncture of the sidewalls and the internal ceiling of the container with evaporator coils distributed along both sides of the container; air is forced over the evaporator coils by strategically placed tandem centrifugal blowers directing air outwardly generally parallel to the ceiling and transverse to the length of the container. Air return is provided by extruded T-shaped floor rails spaced apart to provide a passageway for air penetration into the floor and which are provided with transverse holes to permit the transverse flow of return air through the floor to a sidewall. Return air is routed from the floor through ducts formed by false walls on either side of the container extending upwardly from the floor and terminating at an intake area to the evaporator coils. Alternate evaporators are defrosted in accordance with a timing system using a defrost technique that evaporates a single evaporator at a time while permitting the remaining evaporator or evaporators to continue to refrigerate the container interior.
