Invented is a half-shell-parabolic-dish reflector, which has in front an adjustable flat planar reflector. When the sun is overhead, the sunlight reflects off the flat planar reflector to a half-shell-parabolic-dish, which redirects the light to a crucible for smelting metals, which is also the focus of the sunlight. The entire assembly rotates on top of a turntable, which can be steel wheel, floating on compressed air, bicycle wheels, or other suitable methods. The entire assembly rotates about a crucible located at the focal of the sun's rays. A smaller version of the smelter can be used for solar cooking.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for controlling weeds using concentrated solar energy is disclosed. Solar energy may be concentrated by Fresnel lens and directed by manual or automated methods at surfaces of weed plants to heat portions thereof causing damage. Shutters or other devices may be used to direct, and control intensity of concentrated, solar energy, such control preferably applied before significant concentration. In some embodiments, solar energy concentration apparatus may be integrated with ground, air, or water vehicles which may use solar photovoltaic cells for electric power for propulsion and other purposes. Vehicles may use global positioning satellite (GPS) receivers or other methods and apparatus, including video cameras, for navigation and selection of areas (e.g., row middles), plants, or portions of plants to be exposed to concentrated solar energy. Air vehicles may use hydrogen gas electrolyzed from water condensed from humid air to replenish hydrogen gas lost from containment vessels.

The present invention features a drying system which may include a solar tower, a shredder, and an input conveyor for transporting the organic matter to conveyors positioned in a cascading configuration. The system may further include sensors for collecting information, and a control system for receiving the information to determine a speed of the conveyors. The system may further include an output conveyor for transporting the organic matter from the conveyors to a storage. The system may further include water condensers to reclaim water evaporated from the organic matter to be stored and repurposed. The system may further include a solar power system for converting sunlight into power for the system. Sunlight may cause a thermal gradient within the solar tower, causing air in an upper portion to be hotter than air in a lower portion.
