    Abstract: An apparatus for controlling weed growing on a ground surface includes a liquid supply system configured to supply hot liquid, and dispensing means are operatively connected to the liquid supply system. The dispensing means are configured to dispense hot liquid to the weed. The liquid supply system includes at least one buffer tank that is configured to store and supply hot liquid, a liquid supply container is connected to the at least one buffer tank, and a direct supply line extends between the supply container and the at least one buffer tank. The direct supply line is configured to supply unheated liquid from the supply container directly to the at least one buffer tank and a hot liquid supply line including heating means for heating liquid supplied from the supply container to the at least one buffer tank.     Abstract: The disclosure herein generally relates to the field of optics, specifically to laser technologies, more specifically to industrial lasers, particularly to laser beam positioning. In one embodiment, the present disclosure includes a method for laser positioning is proposed, to treat with a laser beam an object of interest, and includes step of obtaining an image, followed by identifying the objects of interest in the image. The object of interest may be a weed or other unwanted plant or part of a plant. The method is characterized in that the area intended for treatment is divided into treatment lines, followed by the calculation of the positions of the lines to be treated in physical space, followed by the treatment of the lines with a laser-generated laser beam. One cycle with the steps described above is realized up to 25 milliseconds. The technology allows a laser to treat a moving object, or to treat a stationary object with a moving laser, with millimetre accuracy or better.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a device for treating soil with electromagnetic radiation, comprising:—a magnetron antenna (9) for generating microwave radiation with a relatively high frequency; a wave guide (16) connected to the output of the magnetron antenna (9); downward directed tubular members (18, 19) connected to the wave guide (16);—a manifold (17) arranged between the two tubular members (18, 19) and the wave guide (16);—a tuner unit (26) arranged on the wave guide (16); and—cooling means (22, 22′, 22″) for cooling the electromagnetic radiation reflected by the soil. The invention also relates to a cable (24) provided with a single high-voltage cable and one or more low-voltage cables and/or a number of optical cables which are arranged in a shared cable. The invention finally relates to a method for disinfecting soil, wherein a magnetron (9) placed on a vehicle is moved over the soil, wherein the radiation reflected by the soil is minimized by tuning the wave guide (16) connected to the magnetron (9), and wherein the minimized reflected radiation is absorbed by a water load which is connected to one or two water tanks (22′, 22″) which are placed on the vehicle and which hold the temperature of the water within predetermined limits.
