    摘要: A dispenser for liquid consumables locates a store of the particular liquid at a location remote from the dispensing location. The dispensing location is typically located above a counter and may include a relatively narrow stem that brings a flexible liquid delivery tube up to a valve. Valuable counter space is conserved. One or more disposable, flexible and collapsible bags contain the store of liquid and communicates with the dispensing location via the liquid delivery tube. Confined in contact with each flexible bag is an inflatable bladder to which compressed air is routed. Liquid is dispensed each time the valve opens. When exhausted the flexible bag is replaced. Safety interlock switches vent the inflatable bladder to prevent its expanding explosively upon opening of the location where the liquid containing bag will replace the empty. Where the liquid needs temperature control, temperature control means are provided where the liquid is stored. Air movement from that location into the stem to a dispensing fountainhead controls the temperature of the liquid in the delivery tube. In the dispensing of dairy product, as in cream for coffee, temperature control is refrigeration. The dairy product is cooled over its entire route from the flexible bag to the fountainhead. The location of the collapsible, flexible bag and expansible bladder may be directly below the stem and fountainhead in a cabinet, and the entire unit may be movable from one location to another. When consistency of liquid amount dispensed is needed, a dosing valve meters out a measured amount.

    摘要: A home beer dispensing apparatus has a keg having a self-contained bag filled with a beer and a pressure system. The pressure system creates a pressurized air space between the keg inner walls and the bag to assist in the dispensing of the beer. The pressure system has a keg one-way air valve mounted to a top wall of the keg to permit entry of pressurized air into the keg. The pressure system has a pressure reservoir mounted in the dispensing apparatus outside the keg and in fluid flow communication with the keg one-way valve. The reservoir stores a charge of pressurized air and supplies at least a portion of this charge to the keg through the keg air valve when the dispensing apparatus is operated to dispense the beer. The reservoir provides a reserved charge of pressurized gas that is on hand to reduce dampening pressure fluctuations during beer dispensing which can result in beer frothing, especially during the early stages of beer dispensing when the air head space in the keg is small. Further, the apparatus may also have a pressure sensing system adapted to measure time rate of pressure change in the keg. The apparatus has a signaling device responsive to the time rate of pressure change in the keg to produce a signal related to volume of beer remaining in the bag. Preferably, the signal is displayed visually on the dispensing apparatus.

    摘要: A water bottle refill system provided for use with a bottled water cooler having an upwardly open reservoir, receiving a supply of water from a bottle mounted over the reservoir in an inverted orientation. Such cooler and bottle are described, among others patents, in U.S. Pat. No. 6,167,921 and D. 339067. The refill system provides the ability to transfer water to a bottle mounted on top of the cooler from a same or similar but water-full bottle, without the need to swap those heavy bottles, whilst assuring the purity and quality of water. The refill system keeps the accurate water-air balance by synchronizing air and water movements, thus normal operation of the cooler is maintained. The system allows different size bottles to be mounted on the cooler and be used as refill bottle.

    摘要: An integrated apparatus or device for transferring, that is, pumping water from a water bottle to a water fountain having a reservoir with a dispensing faucet. A housing is provided carrying a stopper for insertion into the neck of a water bottle. Within the housing, there is a pump; a tube is connected to the pump discharge and extends through the stopper for pumping air into the bottle. A further tube passes through the stopper for transferring water from the bottle. The other end of this tube extends to fitting means which can be placed on the reservoir in a position normally occupied by the water bottle in an inverted position. This fitting carries a float valve which closes the end of the supply tube when the reservoir is filled.

    摘要: A water dispenser includes a pump which can lift water in an exchangeable raw water container into a water storage tank in a casing. The water dispenser further includes a water level sensor in the form of a float sensor for detecting the upper limit and the lower limit of the water level in the water storage tank. The water dispenser further includes a controller adapted to activate the pump upon receiving a sensor input indicative of detection of the lower limit, and deactivate the pump upon receiving sensor input indicative of detection of the upper limit. The controller is further adapted to measure the time elapsed since the pump was activated, and deactivate the pump when the time elapsed reaches a predetermined time at which the water level exceeds the upper limit and at which water in the water storage tank has not yet overflown the water storage tank.
