摘要: A dispensing assembly which includes a case having a superior component and inferior component, the superior component and inferior component operatively arranged to form a first cavity therebetween. A tablet disc is arranged within the first cavity having a plurality of tablets disposed about a circumference of the tablet disc, where the tablet disc is arranged to rotate about a central axis and within the case. The assembly further includes a lock to prevent rotation of the tablet disc in a first rotational direction during a first predetermined time interval. The lock includes a first component and a second component. The first component includes a display and a first circuit connected to the display. The second component includes an actuator, a catch, a plurality of teeth on an outer circumferential surface of the second component, and a ratchet operatively arranged to engage with the plurality of teeth and the case.

摘要: A method and apparatus for monitoring drug-regimen compliance is disclosed. Systems in accordance with the present invention enable automatic monitoring of the state of medicine content of a blister card. Each tablet location on the blister card is operatively coupled with a different sensor that detects whether the tablet location is occupied and/or a dispensing event at a tablet location. In some embodiments, capacitive sensing is employed, where the capacitance of each sensor is based on the physical state of a dispensing region of the lidding film of the blister pack, which is located at the tablet location being monitored. Alternative sensing approaches are based on optical, acoustic, and tactile sensors that interrogate either the dispensing region at each tablet location or the tablets themselves to determine whether tablets have been dispensed. The sensors interface with a mobile app that provides the user instructions to help improve drug-regimen compliance.

摘要: The present invention is a bracelet that contains a cartridge holding a plurality of interior storage compartments that are each designed to hold one or more pills. A sliding door is used to withdraw the pills from any one compartment at a time. The bracelet comprises electronic components that enable it to activate a vibrating alarm at a prearranged time to remind the user to take her pills, and to track when the door has been opened to withdraw the pills, and to communicate the alarm and tracking information to an external electronic device, such as a mobile phone, via Bluetooth wireless communication.

摘要: The present invention relates to a dispenser comprising: a) a reclosable opening on, or for fitment on and/or around an opening of, a container having a cavity for receiving at least one unit of a product to be dispensed; b) a controller adapted for controlling the opening of the reclosable opening; c) a receiver adapted for receiving a user authentication signal; d) a power source for powering the controller and receiver; and wherein the dispenser only permits the opening of the reclosable opening upon the receiver receiving a user authentication signal. The invention also relates to a dispensing system, method of dispensing and a kit of parts including such a dispenser. The inventions are particularly suited for dispensing pharmaceutical products to only the intended recipient and also to ensure compliance with dosage regimes.

The housing is shaped so as to define exactly one hemispherical portion and exactly one cylindrical portion, which together define an internal surface tightly fitted to at least a portion of an external surface of the drug capsule. The sensor includes first and second electrodes, which comprise first and second electrode surfaces, respectively; and circuitry, which (a) is attached to the housing, (b) is electrically coupled to the first and the second electrode surfaces, and (c) is configured to drive a current between the first and the second electrode surfaces.
