    摘要: Chalcogens and chalcogenide alloys of controlled crystal size are prepared by subjecting the esters to a reduction reaction. The esters may be prepared by treating the corresponding oxides of the desired elements with an alcohol or glycol and then in one embodiment, converted into the desired chalcogen alloys by subjecting a solution mixture of the resulting esters to a co-reduction reaction at high temperatures. The resulting chalcogens and chalcogenide alloys are useful for the preparation of xerographic photoconductive compositions.
