Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes an antenna and an ultra wide band (UWB) communication circuit connected with the antenna. The UWB communication circuit is configured to filter a positioning signal received from the antenna into a specified band to be converted into a digital signal, generate a UWB packet including a first field associated with synchronization and a second field associated with security, obtain a first channel impulse response corresponding to the first field and a second channel impulse response corresponding to the second field, when the UWB packet is valid based on the second field, obtain a third channel impulse response, when there is a correlation between the first channel impulse response and the second channel impulse response, and measure a distance to the external electronic device based on the third channel impulse response.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing, a first antenna and a second antenna which are disposed near at least one edge of the housing inside the housing and a first distance away from each other, wherein the first antenna and second antenna are positioned different distances away from an edge vertical to the one edge, a communication circuit operatively connected to the first antenna and second antenna, at least one sensor, a processor, and a memory. The memory can store instructions which, when executed, enable the processor to identify the posture of the electronic device by means of at least one sensor, if the identified posture of the electronic device is a landscape state, determine the position of at least one external electronic device on the basis of at least one signal received from the at least one external electronic device, and, if the identified posture of the electronic device is a portrait state, determine the position of an external electronic device on the basis of a signal received from the external electronic device positioned in a direction which is determined on the basis of the placements of the first antenna and second antenna among the at least one external electronic device.

Abstract: An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention may comprise: a wireless communication interface; a display; a magnetic stripe transmission (MST) module comprising a coil for inducing generation of a magnetic field; a processor electrically connected to the wireless communication interface, the display, and the MST module; and a memory electrically connected to the processor, wherein the memory stores instructions for controlling the processor, the instructions, when executed, causing the processor to: receive digital card key information for unlocking a door lock apparatus from an external device through the wireless communication interface; convert the digital card information into an MST signal containing the same; activate the MST module in response to an MST module activation request input thereto; and unlock the door lock apparatus by transmitting the converted MST signal through magnetic induction and waking up the door lock apparatus through the transmitted MST signal. Other embodiments are also possible.

Various other embodiments are also possible.
