Abstract:
A power supply circuit and method for driving an electronic device that operates in a first mode or a second mode is provided. The power supply circuit includes a pulse width modulation (PWM) controller configured to convert an input voltage to an output voltage, and a driving circuit that includes a switching element whose switching state is controlled in accordance with a mode change signal corresponding to the first and second modes. The driving circuit is configured to drive the PWM controller by switching off the switching element and supplying a first voltage to the PWM controller, in response to the mode change signal indicating that the electronic device operates in the first mode. When it is indicated that the electronic device operates in the second mode, the driving circuit switches on the switching element and supplies a second voltage to the PWM controller through the switching element.
Abstract:
A power supply and method of controlling power supplied to a light source are disclosed. The power supply includes a dimming-control voltage generator configured to generate a dimming-control voltage based on first and second adjustment values; a dimming controller configured to output a dimming control signal for controlling analog dimming and pulse width modulation (PWM) dimming of a light source based on the dimming-control voltage; and a driver configured to control the analog dimming and the PWM dimming of the light source based on the dimming control signal.
Abstract:
A semiconductor device is provided. The semiconductor device may include a frame portion on which at least one semiconductor chip is arranged; a plurality of leads electrically connected to the semiconductor chip; and a mold portion formed on the frame portion to surround a part of the frame portion on which the semiconductor chip and the plurality of leads are arranged, wherein a gap between closest portions of the respective leads is at least 2.9 mm.
Abstract:
A power supply apparatus and a display apparatus are provided. The power supply apparatus including: a rectifier configured to receive alternating current (AC) power to output a rectified current; a first converter configured to perform a switching operation with respect to the rectified current to output a first output voltage; and a controller configured to control the first converter in order to perform the switching operation so that the first output voltage reaches a first target value in a first period of the input AC current, and not to perform the switching operation in a second period of the input AC power.
Abstract:
Disclosed are an electronic apparatus and a power controlling method thereof, the electronic apparatus including a system portion configured to operate with a received voltage, and a power supply including a pulse width modulation (PWM) generator to generate a PWM signal, a converter to transfer voltage from a primary side to a secondary side in accordance with an output voltage of the PWM generator, and an output portion to supply voltage at the secondary side as standby voltage to the system portion, the PWM generator receives feedback on the standby voltage at the secondary side of the converter, the PWM signal is turned on/off in accordance with levels of the standby voltage at the secondary side, and voltage being supplied to components, except, when the PWM signal is turned off, voltage at the secondary side is only supplied to a component that monitors the feedback of the standby voltage.
