Methods and systems for optimizing computation of log-likelihood ratio (LLR) for decoding modulated symbols. A method disclosed herein involves receiving at least one symbol transmitted from at least one device, wherein the received at least one symbol is encoded and modulated symbol including a plurality of data bits. The method further includes computing a log-likelihood ratio (LLR) of each bit in the received at least one symbol for decoding the received at least one symbol using a centroid method that involves exploiting a symmetry of a constellation of code words and/or a uncertainty region defined on a constellation of code words.

Abstract: A method and system of task management in an internet of things (IoT)-edge network may be provided. The method may include assigning at least one deep neural network (DNN) task from an IoT device to a first edge device; determining whether the first edge device satisfies one of a first predetermined criteria and a second predetermined criteria during execution of the at least one DNN task; triggering an alarm to the IoT device based on the determination; identifying a second edge device subsequent to the triggering of the alarm; determining whether to transfer the at least one DNN task to the second edge device or to execute the at least one DNN task on the first edge device, based on determining that the first device satisfies the second predetermined criteria; and transferring the at least one DNN task to the second edge device, based on determining that the first device satisfies the first predetermined criteria.

Abstract: A method and device for execution of deep neural network (DNN) in an internet of things (IoT) edge network are provided. In an embodiment, at least one edge device within communication range of an IoT device are selected. Further, a network for connecting the IoT device with the at least one selected edge device is identified. A split ratio is determined based on an inference time of the DNN and a transmission time required for transmitting output of each layer of DNN from the IoT device to the selected at least one edge device. Finally, a plurality of layers of the DNN are split into a first part and a second part based on the split ratio, and the second part is transmitted to the selected at least one edge device through the identified network. The first part is executed on the IoT device, and the second part is executed on the selected at least one edge device.

Abstract: Methods and systems for reporting CSI and selecting optimal beams using ML. The CSI report is sent to a gNB, which includes feedback parameters, computed and predicted using ML. The feedback parameters are computed using measurements performed using CSI-RS. Values of the feedback parameters likely at future, based on channel variation and the measurements, are pre-dieted using ML. The computed and predicted feedback parameters are included in the CSI report. Optimal CSI-RS resource allocation and optimal CSI reporting periodicity are determined using ML and sent to the gNB. The CSI report is encoded using the ML based model. The RSRP of the beams are predicted using ML for beam selection.

The method includes selecting one of a first set of SSBs and a first set of CSI-RSs from one of the plurality of SSBs and the plurality of CSI-RSs based on the first measurement metric. The method selects a second set of SSBs and a second set of CSI-RSs from one of the first set of SSBs and the first set of CSI-RSs based on the second measurement metric and determines a selection criteria and selects one of at least one candidate SSBs and at least one candidate CSI-RS from one of the second set of SSBs and the second set of CSI-RSs based on the selection criteria.-
