    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station may generate a signal for a set of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) for an SSB burst set, wherein the set of SSBs are associated with a set of analog beamforming configurations associated with a set of spatial directions. The base station may transmit the signal for the set of SSBs using the set of analog beamforming configurations over the set of spatial directions. The base station may receive one or more random access channel (RACH) communications corresponding to one or more SSBs of the set of SSBs in accordance with one or more frequency domain beam sweeping configurations corresponding to one or more analog beamforming configurations of the set of analog beamforming configurations. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. For example, a user equipment (UE) may receive a paging indication over a physical downlink control channel. The UE may determine a position of the UE relative to a network entity. The UE may determine, based on the position of the UE, a subset of beams available to the network entity for transmitting a paging message. The subset of beams may be less than a quantity of beams available to the network entity for transmitting the paging message and a coverage area of the subset of beams may include the position of the UE. The UE may monitor, based on receiving the paging indication, the subset of beams over a physical downlink shared channel for the paging message.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The network may manage access to a cell on a per-beam basis. The network may indicate, for a given beam, whether a user equipment (UE) is able to access the cell via the given beam. Accordingly, the UE may access a cell using a beam that is not barred for the UE. In some examples, control signaling may include a list of each beam associated with the cell and may indicate whether each beam is barred or accessible. In some examples, control signaling include a field indicating whether the particular beam on which the control signaling was transmitted is barred. In some examples, control signaling may indicate whether a cell is barred. The UE may interpret the indication of whether the cell is barred as indicating whether the beam on which the control signaling was transmitted is barred.
