Abstract: A method and apparatus for receiving a notification of missing packets include receiving a set of data packets transmitted by a device and having a corresponding set of sequence numbers, identifying one or more data packets having corresponding sequence numbers that fall within the set of sequence numbers and are yet to be received, receiving an indication from the device that the one or more data packets will not be transmitted by the device, and processing the set of data packets without the one or more data packets in response to receiving the indication.

Abstract: Various techniques are proposed to enhance or expand the capabilities or usage of buffer status request (BSR) and scheduling request (SR) in new radio (NR) applications. In an implementation, techniques are proposed to extend the SR in long term evolution (LTE) baseline with additional information to help a base station (e.g., gNB) schedule faster and more efficiently. Moreover, a new BSR triggering condition is proposed to report new data based on particular events instead of being time-based. Modifications being proposed to both BSR and SR can be customized for different numerologies/transmission time intervals (TTIs). Modifications being proposed to SR can also be used to indicate a user equipment (UE) new beam selection after recovering from a beam failure.

Abstract: A wireless communications system may establish radio bearers for certain data transmissions between a user equipment (UE) and a base station. A radio bearer may be associated with one or more quality of services (QoS) parameters, such as a bit rate. The base station may indicate to the UE a time window over which to average the bit rate. A radio bearer may include multiple data flows. The base station may provide information regarding QoS parameters for each data flow in control signaling, such as a grant.

Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. One method includes receiving, at a medium access control (MAC) entity, protocol data units (PDUs) corresponding to one or more Internet protocol (IP) flows, routing the PDUs from the MAC entity to respective radio link control (RLC) entities based on a logical channel prioritization, and forwarding the PDUs from respective RLC entities to one or more packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) entities mapped to each RLC entity. Another method includes receiving, at a protocol layer entity above an RLC layer of a transmitting device, a PDU, labeling the PDU with a unique PDCP instance identifier packet, and passing the PDU to a protocol layer entity below the PDCP layer of the transmitting device.

Abstract: Enhanced techniques may be used for identifying and reporting collision-based scenarios. In one example, a wireless modem measures a number of signals received from a number of devices that are located on the same chip as the wireless modem when a physical link between the wireless modem and an accelerometer is broken, the accelerometer is inoperable, or a combination thereof. In the event of a collision event, the wireless modem may use the measured signals to determine that the collision event has occurred and may transmit an indication of the collision event. For instance, the wireless modem may use signals from an audio sensor, a motion sensor, a global navigation satellite system (GNSS), or the like.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to enhanced procedures for search, measurement, and positioning with aid of motion detection information. According to certain aspects, a method is provided for wireless communications which may be performed, for example, by a user equipment (UE). The method generally includes determining one or more parameters of the UE; dynamically adjusting a periodicity of at least one of: cell search and measurements or global positioning system (GPS) signal acquisition based, at least in part, on the one or more parameters; and performing at least one of: the cell search and measurements or GPS signal acquisition according to the adjusted periodicity. In aspects, an enhanced technique for motion state detection is provided. The method may result in power savings, for example, when the UE is stationary and can reduce the periodicity that the UE performs search, measurement and GPS signal acquisition.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing transport block boundary flexibility are disclosed. In some aspects, a transmitter determines a plurality of blocks within a single transmission time interval (TTI), and transmits the plurality of blocks within the single TTI. Each of the plurality of blocks spans over a pre-defined period of time that is shorter than the single TTI. Each of the plurality of blocks includes data having a same logic channel identifier and a same header. A leading boundary and a trailing boundary of each of the plurality of blocks are aligned with one of: a leading boundary and a trailing boundary of a symbol; or a leading boundary and a trailing boundary of a code block. In additional aspects, a receiver receives these plurality of blocks within a single transmission time interval (TTI), and decodes a plurality of protocol data units in the plurality of blocks.
