Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described herein. A transmitting device (e.g., a user equipment (UE), a network entity) may generate a low-density parity-check code according to a base graph, which may be defined by variable nodes and check nodes. The base graph may support second degree variable nodes in the information nodes of the base graph and a larger quantity of second degree nodes associated with higher significance bits than with lower significance bits. Higher significance levels (e.g., bits) may correspond to higher channel reliabilities. The base graph may be a universal base graph or may include additional rules specific to probabilistic shaping. In some examples, an interleaver may be defined to map the base graph to symbols. In some cases, the UE may report its capability to support one or more interleavers, or the network entity may configure the UE with an interleaver.

Abstract: A low-density parity-check encoder is provided that encodes a plurality of information bits according to a low-density parity-check matrix. The encoder generates auxiliary bits from the information bits, and the transmitter punctures the auxiliary bits while transmitting the information bits, thereby preserving a shape of the information bits.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device may transmit, to a second wireless device, a message indicating a capability of the first wireless device to support full-duplex line-of-sight (LOS) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications. The first wireless device may receive, from the second wireless device, control signaling indicating an uplink channel resource allocated for one or more uplink communications, a downlink channel resource allocated for one or more downlink communications, a first set of LOS MIMO transmission modes for the one or more uplink communications, and a second set of LOS MIMO transmission modes for the one or more downlink communications. The uplink channel resource may at least partially overlap with the downlink channel resource in time, frequency, or both. The first wireless device may communicate the one or more uplink communications and the one or more downlink communications based on the control signaling.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitted may use a closed loop precoder for line-of-sight (LOS) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications that uses information such as distance feedback or LOS MIMO channel state feedback. A closed loop precoder may be associated with less overhead than a precoder based on full channel knowledge, such as an SVD precoder. A receiver may estimate a channel based on channel state information reference signals transmitted by the transmitter and calculate a spectral efficiency for one or more precoders of a set of precoders associated with the channel for a LOS MIMO mode. The receiver may send feedback to the transmitter that indicates a selected precoder of the set of LOS MIMO precoders based on the calculated spectral efficiencies. The transmitter may precode messages using the reported closed loop precoder.

Abstract: Certain aspects relate to techniques for estimating and compensating for antenna array rotation of a wireless node. For example, the antenna array of the wireless node may rotate about one or more of an x-axis, a y-axis, and a z-axis, which may misalign the antenna array relative to another antenna array of another wireless node, causing degradation of communications between the two nodes. In some examples, the wireless node may obtain, from a first antenna array of the other wireless node via a second antenna array of the first wireless node, a first pilot signal and a second pilot signal via a first beam. In some examples, the first wireless node may perform a first alignment compensation based on a phase difference between the first pilot signal and the second pilot signal.

Abstract: Certain aspects relate to techniques for z-axis rotation estimation for compensating signaling transmitted between two or more nodes over a wireless channel where an antenna array of at least one of the nodes is misaligned about the z-axis relative to another node. For example, a transmitting node may transmit pilot signals defined by phase shifts to provide a receiving node with a basis for estimating the angle of rotation by which the antenna arrays are misaligned. The transmitting node may then take remedial action to address the misalignment based on the estimation.
