    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration indicating a mapping between a set of multiple subband indices and a set of multiple encoding parameter sets. The UE may apply, at a first distribution matcher, a first encoding parameter set to a first subset of a bit stream. The UE may also apply, at a second distribution matcher, a second encoding parameter set to a second subset of the bit stream. The a first encoding parameter set may be associated with a first subband index and the second encoding parameter set may be associated with a second subband index. The UE may then transmit a first modulated bit stream on a first subband, and a second modulated bit stream on a second subband.

    Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to encoding wireless communications using feedback from receiving devices to achieve an adaptive coding rate, which can include generating, for a set of source symbols representing data to be transmitted in a broadcast channel, a set of encoded symbols for transmitting in the broadcast channel, transmitting a first number of the set of encoded symbols over the broadcast channel, requesting, based on transmitting the first number of the set of encoded symbols, feedback from a set of user equipment (UEs), and determining, based at least in part on the feedback, whether to continue transmitting a second number of the set of encoded symbols or begin transmitting a new set of encoded symbols representing new data to be transmitted in the broadcast channel.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may encode, at a layer two (L2) layer of the transmitting device, a set of service data units (SDUs) according to a set of network coding parameters to obtain a first set of protocol data units (PDUs). The transmitting device may transmit, to one or more receiving devices, the first set of PDUs. The transmitting device may receive, from a receiving device of the one or more receiving devices, a report indicating an SDU of the set of SDUs that was unsuccessfully received at the receiving device. The transmitting device may transmit, to the one or more receiving devices, based at least in part on the received report, a second set of one or more PDUs corresponding to at least the SDU of the set of SDUs.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a downlink visible light communication (VLC) transmission. The UE may receive, from the base station, a downlink New Radio (NR) radio frequency (RF)-based communication (RFC) transmission, wherein a frame structure associated with the downlink VLC transmission is asynchronous with a frame structure associated with the downlink NR RFC transmission. The UE may transmit, to the base station via an uplink RF transmission based at least in part on a lack of support for an uplink VLC transmission at the UE, acknowledgement or negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) feedback associated with one or more of the downlink VLC transmission or the downlink NR RFC transmission.     Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a sidelink device may receive a configuration indicating one or more sidelink resource pools. The sidelink device may receive a request to report a radio frequency (RF) capability. The sidelink device may transmit, responsive to the request, an RF capability type of the sidelink device. The sidelink device may receive a sidelink allocation indicating a set of sidelink resources from the one or more sidelink resource pools and indicating one or more sidelink communication resources, one or more sidelink sensing resources, or both associated with the set of sidelink resources. In an aspect, the sidelink allocation may be based on the RF capability type of the sidelink device.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A receiving device may receive an encoded signal including a set of information blocks. Each information block may include a set of encoded information bits and a set of cyclic redundancy check (CRC) bits. The receiving device may perform a staircase decoding procedure to decode the set of encoded information bits of a selected information block that is part of a subset of the set of information blocks that is within a sliding window. The staircase decoding procedure may include one or more iterations of a decoding process applied to the subset of the set of information blocks. The receiving device may perform, inbetween iterations of the staircase decoding procedure applied to the subset of the set of information blocks within the sliding window, a CRC procedure based on the set of CRC bits in the set of information blocks.
