Abstract:
A UE receives information indicating a receive direction vector for a serving BS and a set of receive direction vectors for at least one interfering BS. The UE determines a channel between the UE and the serving BS and a set of channels between the UE and each of the at least one interfering BS. The UE determines a transmit direction vector to apply to modulated symbols for mapping to a set of resource blocks for an uplink transmission based on the channel, the set of channels, the receive direction vector, and the set of receive direction vectors. The UE determines an interference caused to the at least one interfering BS by the uplink transmission based on the transmit direction vector, the set of channels, and the set of receive direction vectors. The UE transmits information indicating the interference to the serving BS.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus related to the sharing of wide area network (WAN) downlink bandwidth with peer to peer communication signaling usage are described. A WAN, e.g., cellular, wireless communications device using a base station attachment point, transmits a signal to be used by a peer to peer wireless communications device for controlling its peer to peer transmit power level. The peer to peer wireless communications device receives and measures the strength of the power control signal from the WAN wireless communications device. The measurement information is used by the peer to peer wireless communications device in determining whether or not peer to peer signal transmission is permitted and/or in determining a peer to peer transmission power level. Thus the WAN device is able to manage interference from the peer to peer devices in its vicinity which impacts its recovery of WAN base station downlink signals.
Abstract:
Some disclosed systems may include a microphone system having two or more microphones, an interface system and a control system. In some examples, the control system may be capable of receiving, via the interface system, audio data from two or more microphones of the microphone system, of determining a gesture location based, at least in part, on the audio data and of controlling one or more settings of the system based on the gesture location.
Abstract:
In some cases, V2X systems may send warning messages. The warning messages may be sent over short distances. The warning messages may be useful over wider distances. Some systems may us MBMS from a V2X proximity broadcast. Electronic communications devices, such as UEs may be unaware of the MBMS. A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may be an RSU. The RSU receive a V2X message from a UE. The RSU may broadcast information associated with the V2X message. The RSU may send the information associated with the V2X message to a network entity for a point-to-multipoint broadcast. The method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication may also use V2X messages that include bootstrapping information to tune to an MBMS broadcast.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, devices, and apparatuses are described for a listen-before-talk (LBT) mechanism. A wireless node, e.g., a base station, may determine that a channel is available based on completing a clear channel assessment (CCA) procedure. The wireless node may be associated with a first operator. The wireless node may transmit a first message on the channel in a subframe based on the CCA procedure. The first message may include a header portion that precedes a data portion. The first message may be time aligned with a second message transmitted from a second wireless node that is associated with the first operator.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for utilization of an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band for performing a ranging procedure. Performance of the ranging procedure may be triggered by a signal transmitted in a licensed radio frequency spectrum band. While conventional ranging in Long Term Evolution (LTE) communications, for example, using the licensed radio frequency spectrum band may be limited to a 10 MHz bandwidth, using the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band for ranging may allow use of a wider bandwidth, such as 100 MHz or greater. Use of the wider bandwidth may result in more accurate ranging measurements (e.g., time-of-arrival estimation).
Abstract:
An apparatus includes an object detector configured to receive image data of a scene viewed from the apparatus and including an object. The image data is associated with multiple scale space representations of the scene. The object detector is configured to detect the object responsive to location data and a first scale space representation of the multiple scale space representations.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The apparatus receives a safety message from a second UE. The received safety message includes a cluster indicator that indicates whether the received safety message is a first safety message type or a second safety message type. The first safety message type is associated with a single UE and the second safety message type is associated with multiple UEs. The apparatus determines whether the received safety message is the first safety message type or the second safety message type based on the cluster indicator included in the safety message. The apparatus determines whether a proximity condition between the apparatus and the second UE is satisfied based on the received safety message.
