    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media are provided for splitting one or more merged blobs for one or more video frames. A blob detected for a current video frame is identified. The identified blob includes pixels of at least a portion of a foreground object in the current video frame. The identified blob is determined to be associated with two or more blob trackers from a plurality of blob trackers. The plurality of blob trackers are received from an object tracking operation performed for a previous video frame. It is then determined whether one or more splitting conditions are met. The splitting conditions can be based on a spatial relationship between bounding regions of the two or more blob trackers and a bounding region of the identified blob. The identified blob can be split into a first blob and a second blob in response to determining the one or more splitting conditions are met. If the identified blob is split, the first blob and the second blob are output for object tracking for the current frame by an object tracking system. In some cases, the identified blob is not output for object tracking for the current frame.

    Abstract: Techniques are provided for generating three-dimensional models of objects from one or more images or frames. For example, at least one frame of an object in a scene can be obtained. A portion of the object is positioned on a plane in the at least one frame. The plane can be detected in the at least one frame and, based on the detected plane, the object can be segmented from the plane in the at least one frame. A three-dimensional (3D) model of the object can be generated based on segmenting the object from the plane.     Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for facial expression recognition. In some examples, a system receives an image frame corresponding to a face of a person. The system also determines, based on a three-dimensional model of the face, landmark feature information associated with landmark features of the face. The system then inputs, to at least one layer of a neural network trained for facial expression recognition, the image frame and the landmark feature information. The system further determines, using the neural network, a facial expression associated with the face.

    Abstract: Techniques and systems are provided for performing object verification using radar images. For example, a first radar image and a second radar image are obtained, and features are extracted from the first radar image and the second radar image. A similarity is determined between an object represented by the first radar image and an object represented by the second radar image based on the features extracted from the first radar image and the features extracted from the second radar image. A determined similarity between these two sets of features is used to determine whether the object represented by the first radar image matches the object represented by the second radar image. Distances between the features in the two radar images can optionally also be compared and used to determine object similarity. The objects in the radar images may optionally be faces.

The techniques and systems described herein identify a candidate sleeping tracker that is a false positive.     Abstract: Techniques and systems are provided for maintaining blob trackers for one or more video frames. For example, a blob tracker can be identified for a current video frame. The blob tracker is associated with a blob detected for the current video frame, and the blob includes pixels of at least a portion of one or more objects in the current video frame. One or more characteristics of the blob tracker are determined. The one or more characteristics are based on a bounding region history of the blob tracker. A confidence value is determined for the blob tracker based on the determined one or more characteristics, and a status of the blob tracker is determined based on the determined confidence value. The status of the blob tracker indicates whether to maintain the blob tracker for the one or more video frames. For example, the determined status can include a first type of blob tracker that is output as an identified blob tracker-blob pair, a second type of blob tracker that is maintained for further analysis, or a third type of blob tracker that is removed from a plurality of blob trackers maintained for the one or more video frames.
