    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a first set of reference signals via a primary sidelink carrier of a sidelink carrier aggregation configuration and a second set of reference signals via one or more secondary sidelink carriers of the sidelink carrier aggregation configuration. The UE may receive, based on the reference signals, a measurement message indicating measurements for a set of beams corresponding to a secondary sidelink carrier of the sidelink carrier aggregation configuration based on a beam failure instance for the primary sidelink carrier. The UE may transmit, via Layer 1 signaling or Layer 2 signaling, a control message indicating to switch the primary sidelink carrier to the set of beams based on the measurements for the set of beams and the beam failure instance for the primary sidelink carrier.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a transmitting device may support receiver-specific network coding redundancy techniques. For example, a transmitting device may select a receiver-specific redundancy configuration for transmission to a particular receiver based on a quality of a link between the transmitting device and the receiving device. The transmitting device may select or calculate a user-specific redundancy for the link based on a received packet loss probability report, or may select the preferred redundancy configuration as indicated in a request received from the receiving device, or may network encode and transmit one or more initial transmissions according to a default redundancy configuration and increment or decrement the default redundancy based on feedback from the receiving device.

    Abstract: In one aspect of the disclosure, a UE may be configured to receive, from a base station, information indicating a reference point associated with at least one L1 measurement; determine a reporting value of the at least one L1 measurement based on a difference between the reference point and a measured value of the at least one L1 measurement; and transmit information indicating the reporting value to the base station. In another aspect, a RAN node can indicate to a UE that a reduced measurement report resolution is to be used for beam measurements in a measurement report. The reduced measurement report resolution is less than a first measurement report resolution previously indicated to be used for the beam measurements. Lower resolution can be obtained by using fewer bits to indicate one or more of the beam measurements. The payload for a measurement report such as a L-SINR or L-RSP L1 measurement report is thereby reduced when the UE transmits the measurement report to the RAN node.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for signaling mechanisms associated with reporting information associated with multiple beam failure indicator (BFI) types via a beam failure detection (BFD) report. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may measure a periodic reference signal as part of a BFD procedure and may report a BFI if the UE measures that the reference signal fails to satisfy a threshold signal strength or quality. The UE may further detect or classify each reported BFI as one of multiple BFI types and may store information associated with respective numbers of the multiple BFI types in accordance with the detection or classification. In scenarios in which the UE declares beam failure, the UE may transmit a BFD report including the information associated with the respective numbers of the multipole BFI types.

A network node may transmit, to a plurality of user equipment (UE), a set of network encoded packets generated using a set of packets. A UE of the plurality of UEs may receive a subset of the set of encoded packets and may decode the subset to determine a first set of decoded packets.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a base station may transmit sets of network coding encoded packets user equipments (UEs), and each set of network coding encoded packets may be associated with a redundancy overhead. The base station may dynamically identify the redundancy overhead for transmitting sets of network coding encoded packets to each UE based on a failure rate associated with a previous transmission of network coding encoded packets to that UE. For example, the base station may determine a failure rate associated with a transmission of a first set of network coding encoded packets and may identify a redundancy overhead associated with one or more second sets of network coding encoded packets based on the determined failure rate. In some cases, the base station may identify different redundancy overheads for transmissions of network coding encoded packets to different UEs.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for identification reinterpretation in sidelink control information (SCI) are described. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit to a second UE or device, on a sidelink channel, SCI. The SCI may include a partial source and destination identifier fields and may indicate to the second UE to apply a first interpretation of multiple different interpretations for the partial source identifier field and the partial destination identifier field.     Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for enhancing beam failure indications and detections. In particular, the present disclosure provides techniques for identifying and indicating reasons associated with beam failures. For example, in aspects, a user equipment (UE) may evaluate multiple beam failure indicator (BFI) trigger conditions based on beam failure detection (BFD) reference signal (RS) measurements. The UE logs different types of BFIs based on the evaluating. If a logged number of BFIs exceeds a threshold value within a measurement period, the UE declares a beam failure and transmits, to a network entity, an indication of the beam failure and a reason for the beam failure based on the different types of BFIs detected.
