    Abstract: A method of determining and configuring a maximal clear channel assessment (CCA) duration based on channel loading information for frame-based equipment (FBE) listen before talk (LBT) channel access mechanism is proposed. The CCA period is a random CCA duration generated out of the maximal CCA duration, which is configurable and is carried in the radio resource control (RRC) signaling or the beacon signal of LAA. To solve the collision problem in synchronous network and the unfairness problem in asynchronous network, the maximal duration of CCA should be adaptive based on the experienced channel occupancy status and/or the experienced synchronization difference within the network. First, the maximal duration of CCA should be adjusted according to the channel loading. Second, the maximal duration of CCA should be larger than the timing difference between eNBs or between UEs.

    Abstract: A new design for physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) is proposed for the next generation 5G new radio systems. A UE receives the configuration of a default control resource set (CORESET) in MIB/SIB from its serving base station. The default CORESET contains both common search space and UE-specific search space for candidate PDCCH transmission. A PDCCH in a default CORESET is mapped to physical resource in a distributed or localized manner. Specifically, various REG-to-CCE mapping rules are proposed to improve frequency diversity gain, or frequency selectivity gain, or to reduce latency of PDCCH processing. Further, to facilitate analog beamforming in mmWave systems, the default CORESET is transmitted in a synchronization signal (SS) block associated with a corresponding analog beam direction.

    Abstract: In one novel aspect, multiple TRPs information are provided for REG bundle configuration with PDCCH transmission and reception with multiple transmission points (TRPs). The UE configures a PDCCH associated with a CORESET comprising multiple CCEs, partitions the CORESET into multiple CCE groups associated with corresponding TCI-state, which corresponds to a source TRP, configures multiple resource element group (REG) bundles each with multiple resource elements (REs), and assumes the same precoder applied on PDCCH DMRS when the REs are in the same REG bundle and are associated with the same source TRP, and wherein each source TRP transmits corresponding portion of DCI data mapping to the corresponding first and second CCE group. In one embodiment, the REG bundles are predefined with each comprises only REs associated with the same source TRP. In another embodiment, each CCE group corresponding to a source TRP is indicated for the REG bundle configurations.
