Abstract: The present invention provides a mobile terminal having a flexible display. The present invention may provide a mobile terminal comprising: a first frame; a second frame movably coupled to the first frame and configured to move in a first direction with regard to the first frame; a third frame movably coupled to the second frame and configured to move in the first direction with regard to the second frame; a flexible display portion comprising a first area disposed on the front surface of the mobile terminal and coupled to the first frame, a second area disposed on the back surface of the mobile terminal and coupled to the third frame, and a third area extending between the first and second areas, the third area being wound around the second frame and selectively disposed on the front surface of the mobile terminal or on the back surface of the mobile terminal according to the direction of movement of the second frame; a driving portion configured to move the second frame in the first direction with regard to the first frame and to move the third frame in the first direction with regard to the second frame.

The display panel includes a base substrate, a light-emitting layer provided on the base substrate and configured to include a light-emitting element, a thin-film encapsulation layer configured to seal the light-emitting element, and a thin-film transistor (TFT) film configured to supply a signal to the light-emitting element, a polarizing film provided on the light-emitting layer, and a protective film provided on the polarizing film. The TFT film is extended from the base substrate at the curved edge to cover an edge of the base substrate.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a mobile terminal including a first frame, a second frame slidably movable in a first direction or a second direction, a slide frame movable in the first direction or the second direction with respect to the second frame, a flexible display including a first region coupled to the first frame, a second region coupled to the slide frame, and a third region disposed between the first region and the second region, the third region being bent in a manner of surrounding the second frame, a driving unit configured to provide power to move the second frame, and a motor fan configured to be rotated by power received from the driving unit. The mobile terminal may remove heat generated from the controller and the driving unit using the motor fan, and remove foreign matter introduced through the gap between the display and the side frame.
