A wiring device includes a leakage control unit for detecting a leakage current flowing through an electrical path connecting a commercial power supply and a load to perform a leakage determination and a switching unit for interrupting the electrical path in accordance with the leakage determination of the leakage control unit The leakage control unit has a filter for filtering the detected leakage, a square operation unit for calculating the square operation value of a signal which relates to the leakage current passing through the filter, and a threshold determination unit for performing the leakage determination in accordance with the square operation value obtained by the square operation unit. Consequently, the leakage determination is performed in accordance with the square operation value, so that the leakage can be detected with high accuracy even when the leakage current has a distorted waveform, and the electrical leakage can be reliably interrupted.

Disclosed are a color image-formable material which comprises a support, a cushion layer provided on the support and a color light-sensitive layer containing a light-sensitive composition and a coloring agent provided on the cushion layer and gives a transferred image by forming a color image portion by imagewise exposure and developing treatment and then transferring the color image portion alone to an image-receiving material,wherein the surface at a color light-sensitive layer side of the cushion layer has an average gloss (GS (60.degree. )) of 30 or more and the color light-sensitive layer is provided on the cushion layer, a process for preparing the same.

A photosensitive lithographic printing plate comprises a conductive support and provided thereon, a photoconductive layer of a composition comprising a photoconductor and an esterified compound of o-naphtho-quinonediazide sulfonic acid with a phenol resin, the phenol resin being a polycondensation compound of a monovalent phenol with an aldehyde or a ketone, and the content of the o-naphthoquinonediazide sulfonic acid residue being 0.4.times.10.sup.-3 to 3.0.times.10.sup.-3 mole per gram of the photoconductive layer.

A process for the preparation of an esterified resin for ultraviolet light curable coating compositions which comprises reacting an ethylenically unsaturated five-membered cyclic compound, such as cyclopentadiene, with a compound having both at least a double bond and hydroxyl group in the molecule, such as allyl alcohol, to obtain a hydroxyl group-containing resin which is then esterified with a carboxyl group-containing benzophenone derivative and, if desired, further esterified with an unsaturated carboxylic acid thereby to obtain the esterified resin. This invention also relates to the esterified resin so obtained and ultraviolet light curable coating compositions containing the same.

Curable coating compositions particularly suitable as a vehicle for printing inks, comprising a resin obtained by esterifying with acrylic or methacrylic acid a hydroxyl group-containing resin prepared either by reacting ingredients (A) and (B) to form a reaction mixture which is then reacted with ingredient (C) or by reacting the ingredients (A), (B) and (C). The ingredient (A) is a five-membered cyclic compound having conjugated double bonds or a Diels-Alder's reaction product thereof, the ingredient (B) a compound having both a polymerizable double bond and a hydroxyl group in the molecule and (C) a resol type phenolic resin.

A load control device includes: a main switching unit which has a main switch element connected in series to an AC power source and a load and controls the supply of power to the load; a manipulation switch that outputs a start-up signal for starting at least the load; a control unit which controls the opening and closing of the main switching unit; a first power source unit supplying a stable voltage to the control unit; and a second and a third power source unit each supplying power to the first power source unit. The load control device is characterized in that upon receiving the start-up signal, the control unit outputs an initial drive signal, for closing the main switch element, to the main switching unit before a power source supplying power to the first power source unit is switched from the second to the third power source unit.

A charging cable for an electric vehicle includes a power plug adapted to be detachably connected to a power socket of a commercial power source; a temperature detecting unit for detecting a temperature of the power plug; a cable connector adapted to be detachably connected to an electric vehicle for supplying a charging current to a battery of the electric vehicle; and a switching unit for opening and closing a current path between the power plug and the cable connector. The charging cable further includes a leakage detecting unit for detecting an electric leakage based on a current flowing through the current path; and a power cutoff unit for opening the switching unit when the detected temperature of the temperature detection means exceeds a threshold value or when the leakage detection means detects the electric leakage.

A ground fault interrupter including a zero-phase current transformer configured to detect unbalanced current flowing in electric lines. A switch is provided in the electric lines. A detection resistor is connected in parallel to the zero-phase current transformer and configured to convert current outputted from the zero-phase current transformer to voltage. A controller is configured to determine based on the voltage of the detection resistor whether an electric leak occurs and to open the switch when the controller determines that an electric leak occurs. At least one filter is provided between the detection resistor and the controller and is configured to remove high frequency elements in the voltage of the resistor. The at least one filter includes an input side resistor connected in series to the controller and configured to limit current input to the controller; and a capacitor connected in parallel to the controller.
