    Abstract: There is provided a method for providing a sensing initiator station with measurement feedback. The method includes broadcasting, by the sensing initiator station, a sensing announcement frame and broadcasting, by the sensing initiator station, a sensing sequence frame, the sensing sequence frame containing a reference sequence. The method further includes transmitting, by the sensing initiator station, a feedback request frame, the feedback request frame including station information indicating resources allocated for each participating station. The method further includes sending, by a responder station, a feedback frame to the sensing initiator, the feedback frame including an indicator corresponding to data contained in the feedback frame. There is also provided a device which includes a processor, and non-transitory computer readable memory having stored thereon machine readable instructions. The instructions, when executed by the processor configure the device to execute a method disclosed herein.

    Abstract: A method of communication includes duplication of a first field of a first content channel into a third field in a third content channel and applying a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) to only one of the first field and the third field. The first content channel is a first portion of a frame and the third content channel is a third portion of the frame. Duplication of a second field of a second content channel into a fourth field in a fourth content channel and applying a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) to only one of the second field and the fourth field. The second content channel is a second portion of a frame and the fourth content channel is a fourth portion of the frame. The first content channel and the second content channel form a first group of content channels and the third content channel and the fourth content channel form a second group of content channels. The method then transmits the frame.

    Abstract: A procedure and frame structure for Wi-Fi sensing is described. An aspect of the disclosure provides a method of sensing. Such a method includes sending, by an initiating station (STA) to one or more responder STAs, a sensing request comprising a sensing announcement frame (SAF) indicating sensing set-up information including frame structure information. The SAF includes at least one field indicating the frame structure information including one or more of: a sensing set-up identifier (ID), an SAF version ID, a sensing session ID, a measurement set-up ID, and a measurement instance ID. The method further includes receiving, by the initiating STA from the one or more responder STAs, one or more responses based on the sensing request.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for coordinated monostatic sensing are provided, for example in associated with IEEE 802.11 EDMG stations which simultaneously transmit monostatic sensing PPDUs. DMG sensing request frames from a sensing initiator coordinate the sensing responders, and each frame includes a STA ID field, a Num of STAs in Exchange field and a BW field which are used to direct timing and channelization of the sensing PPDUs. In some embodiments, IEEE 802.11 service periods are allocated for transmission operations such as simultaneous monostatic sensing PPDUs on different channels, and related operations such as sensing request frames, sensing response frames, polls, reports, acknowledgments, etc. In some embodiments, IEEE 802.11 contention based access periods are used for the monostatic sensing. Responders determine whether or not they are recipient of a last sensing request frame and operate accordingly to transmit their monostatic sensing PPDU. Determination can be based on the STA ID field.

    Abstract: A method for an access point to schedule obtaining frames from stations connected thereto is provided. Real-time applications provide frames and frame due dates to the stations. The frames and their due dates are stored in respective buffers of the stations. Each station identifies the earliest due date of all its buffered frames and provides the earliest due date to the access point. The access point orders the due dates and schedules the stations according to the order of the due dates. The access point then communicates with the stations according to the schedule and obtains the frames. A WLAN system implementing the method is also provided.

    Abstract: A format for a Null Data Packet Announcement (NDPA) frame for Wi-Fi sensing is provided. The frame format is based on the ranging NDPA frame format. The sensing frame can indicate channel state information measurement parameters, for a preamble punctured EHT NDP PPDU, in the Common Info field of the frame. When there is insufficient space in the Common Info field, the puncturing patterns can be indicated in each station (STA) field of the frame. Alternatively, the sensing frame can include an additional Common Info field that includes the information defining the puncturing patterns. Also provided is a method that indicates partial bandwidth (BW) feedback when the BW of each STA is smaller than the BW of the EHT NDP PPDU. A method that indicates the BW of the sensing NDPA frame is also provided, as is a method for setting the signal field in the EHT NDP PPDU for a number of long training field repetition.
